Lovers to Parents (Bucky x reader)

Jasper

"Who's back?" mama came into the room to see the blanket that was on you was on fire, as was the rest of your body. You pushed the blanket off and Steve ran over with a fire extinguisher to put it out. You ran outside, ignoring the dizzy sensation your head was giving you. You would be damned if you let those werewolf creatures come anywhere close to your mate. Brutus followed you down the stairs and stayed carefully away from your flames as you moved. The shadow wolf pack were at the bottom of the balcony stairs watching the woods carefully.
"How many?" you asked Brutus in a cold tone.
"We counted five. They are close, they went to your house first and saw you weren't home. Cloud was going crazy inside the house" he warned you.
"Young lady, you get yourself back in this house this instant!" Mama came outside, yelling but there was so much worry in her voice.
"Luna, is this such a good idea?" Jasper came running down the stairs and took one side, while Melody had followed him and she took the other side of Brutus.
"No one touches my mate" you said through grit teeth.
"Songbird, get your ass back in here" Uncle Brad called but it was too late. All you could see was red and you were beyond angry.
"Y/N!" Bucky came running out with his machine gun and his tactical vest with all of his knives. You heard the entire team come outside, in the same clothes they were wearing around the compound, only with a bit of weapons. Except for Tony, he was in his suit. Their voices were all calling you back, but you saw the Alpha of the werewolf pack come out of the woods and seemed to be sizing you up. Saliva came out of his grotesque mouth, and his giant claws flexed in anticipation of the upcoming battle. "Baby, back in the house" Bucky caught up to you with his super speed. He reached out and touched you with his vibranium hand to hold you back.
"What are you thinking?!" you demanded of him. "They want my mate! Get back inside" you pointed at the compound behind all of you.
"No, you're my mate too" Bucky barked at you.
"Sorry if the party was too loud. You weren't invited" Tony flew past you and used his mini missiles to fire at the other's coming out of the woods. They roared with rage and blood spattered the ground, however they continued moving forward. The alpha of the pack started to come straight for you and you threw a blast of fire at him. The acrid smell of burning flesh and fur filled the air and you continued to move forward. He raised his enormous paws as he got close and made a swiping motion when Jasper leapt at his arm and held on for dear life and he growled loudly and started ripping at the already injured flesh. Brutus went for his throat, while Snow went for his legs. Bucky grabbed your arm, pulling you back, and your flames stuttered as though having a mind of their own and not wanting to harm the love of your life.
"Let the flames go," Bucky said as the team and the rest of the shadow wolves passed the two of you on the field.
"No, they'll hurt you!" you said in defiance, raising your chin.
"And they might hurt you! I'll never be able to live with myself if anything happens to you" Bucky yelled, and it actually brought you back to the present. Your flames dwindled down, and slowly faded away as you suddenly heard the battle happening. The growls, gun shots, yelling, and even the sound of nails hitting metal. "Let the Avengers take care of this" he said softly, but his calm voice reached your ears. You heard a yelp and saw Jasper go flying and any sense of walking away left you. Snow ran to his side where he was weakly trying to stand on his feet. His pain was your pain, and your body was riddled with it.
"Okay, maybe we take on the big guy" Bucky glared at the Alpha that was pushing his way closer. His body was charred, and bloody. Brutus was trying to take him on alone. "Stay away from the claws" he added as he took the safety off his gun.
"Brutus, jump away" you reached out with your mind. Brutus jumped away and ran to Jasper and Snow. You launched a large fireball at the Alpha and he was suddenly encased in flames, screaming out in pain. Bucky raised his gun and shot him between the eyes three times. His large body fell back as his final breath escaped his lips. Bucky took a few more tactical shots at one of the other werewolves making their way towards the two of you, and the beast went down. The rest of the team was busy with the other three, but making quick work of it. You raced behind Bucky and ran to Jasper, Snow and Brutus.
"I'm okay" Jasper groaned in pain and panted in exhaustion.
"I'm going to get you to a doctor" you promised, and you went to pick him up and he howled in pain. Your entire body vibrated in pain as you moved.
"Nope, not happening doll" Bucky scooped Jasper out of your arms. "Fall back to the compound, we are getting him to the lab" he ordered. You started running back, with Snow and Brutus on either side of you and Bucky close behind you. Your heart was hammering in your chest and you could hear the blood pumping in your ears as you raced. You got to the steps and took two at a time, feeling out of breath and in excruciating pain from the bond.
"Y/N, my mate" Snow said as you made your way to the door.
"Will be okay" you told her, trying to keep yourself calm. You were attached to Jasper, and you loved him wholeheartedly. You couldn't lose him.

You got in the back door only to see Mama, Uncle Brad, Bruce, Pepper and Happy trying to keep all the pups calm. They were also keeping an eye out on the back windows and watching the battle unfold.
"What were you thinking?!" mama yelled at you as you came in. She ran to you and wrapped her arms around you. Blue was clawing at your legs trying to jump up, and as soon as she let go, you picked him up. Bucky came in and headed directly towards the lab. Bruce took out his phone and called the emergency vet. "Your clothes are all burnt" mama looked you over, seeming worried still.
"I'm normally wearing a fireproof suit," you said softly. "Mama, I gotta go" you started following Bucky.
"Doctor Cho is waiting for you" Bruce put his hand over the phone to warn you.
"Jasper first" you grumbled and continued on your way. You barely noticed as Brutus and Snow followed. They were just as invested as you were to check on Jasper.
You walked into the room and Bucky had laid Jasper down on one of the beds in the lab. You ran to his side and he whined loudly, obviously scared.
"Don't worry buddy, we are going to get through this" you promised him.
"Everything hurts," he whined. "But we got him," he added with a hint of pride.
"Of course we got him. You are so brave" you said as tears started falling down your face. "You need to stay awake, okay?"
"I need my mate" Jasper raised his head and Snow jumped up with her two paws on the table and she licked his face.
"What's he saying?" Bucky asked you.
"Everything hurts," you said, holding Blue a little tighter.
"You missy, on the other table" Doctor Cho came into the room.
"No, I need to be with my companion,'' you refused her. She looked surprised, but you weren't giving up. "There may be some injured team members coming in a few minutes. So unless you know anything about veterinary sciences, you'll have to wait" you looked up with a fire in your eyes. Nothing was going to take you away from Jasper in his time of need.
"These people in this building, really do care for us wolves, don't they?" Brutus asked as Doctor Cho came over and started looking Jasper over.
"Of course they do. Why else would we stay?" Snow sassed him. "Honestly, you should be coming inside where it's warm. Not out running about all the time. Sam has been so worried. We all have been!" she told him off.
"I'll talk to my pack" Brutus seemed a little taken aback.
"I need to take some x-rays. You need to move back" Doctor Cho ordered and you moved back. Bucky came to you and took Blue out of your hands. Snow and Brutus moved away and Doctor Cho grabbed a large piece of equipment and took out a long wand that looked curious to you. You watched as she put on a pair of goggles and then she held the wand above him and scanned his entire body. The readings came up quickly on one of the computers and she hummed to herself as she looked them over.
"What is it?" you asked in worry.
"He's badly bruised, but his front left leg needs a cast. It's fractured" she advised. "I'll let the real vet look him over. He's going to need some pain medication, poor thing" she scratched him behind the ears.
"But he's going to be okay, right?" you asked worriedly.
"Yes, and the vet is already on their way. They are bringing everything they need, and if they don't have it, we have stuff here. Tony hired a full time vet, they just don't have their office until the renovations are over with" she gave a small smirk.
"Thank you" you breathed a sigh of relief.
"Now, will you get on the table?" she asked you.
"Go Luna" Jasper urged you.
"I'll protect him" Brutus promised.
You sighed and walked to a bed not far away from Jasper and laid down on it. Your clothes were showing more than usual since you had burnt so much of it. An unfortunate side effect of your abilities.
"I'll go get you some clothes after I see the baby" Bucky told you softly.
You pulled up what was left of your shirt, and pushed down on your charred leggings and Doctor Cho squirted the gel on your stomach and took out the ultrasound machine. She pressed the wand to your stomach and immediately the image of your little Rebecca Rose came onto the screen. She wasn't moving at first and you held your breath in a panic. Bucky came over and sat beside the bed and he held Blue close to his chest with his left arm, while his right hand came up and held yours.
"Rebecca Rose, this is your dad. I need you to move, peanut. Daddy needs to see that you are okay" Bucky leaned in close but spoke in a soothing tone. He squeezed your hand and the two of you almost held your breath watching the screen. Blue barked, looking pointedly at your stomach and she suddenly moved a little. You let out a sigh of relief, and Bucky kissed your hand.
"Is the baby okay?" Jasper asked.
"The baby seems okay," you assured him.
"Good" he sighed in relief.
"Now we just need to take care of you" you smiled at him and Doctor Cho started taking notes on her tablet.
