"I can never beat you, father!" You hear a little voice cry out from the lounge room.
You walk in with a plate of sandwiches to the two red-headed boys sitting across from each other playing shogi. Placing the plate down, you looked over and saw the game board, Akashi easily winning against his own son.
"Oh, mother made sandwiches!~" You handed one to (Son's Name) who happily ate it, "mother's sandwiches are the best!"
"Indeed they are." Akashi takes a bite out of one. "And I believe one of these days you'll beat me, (Son's Name), you are my son after all."
(Son's Name) pouted out his lip, "I'm not a prodigy like you, father!"
"But you are a prodigy in your own way, maybe shogi isn't the best for you, but something else is." Akashi said as he stood up from his chair and patted his son on the head, ruffling up his hair. "No matter what I'll always be proud of you."
The sounds of a baby crying could be heard on the baby monitor.
Akashi walked over to check the screen. "He's awake, you stay here (First Name), I'll get him."
You did as told and stayed with (Son's Name) who continued to eat your sandwiches and played a small game of shogi with you.

Making your way up the stairs, you heard creaking in the nursery. Slowly opening the door, you could see Akashi cradling his infant son with a bottle in his hand. You couldn't help but giggle at how cute Akashi looked swinging side to side.
"You're such a great father, Seijuro. Especially what you said with (Son's Name)." You sat down next to him and kissed him on the cheek.
"I don't want to raise my children like how my father raised me. I want them to be free to be whoever they want without any weights and expectations placed on their shoulders." He whispers quietly, as he took the bottle out of the sleeping infant's mouth.
Akashi got up and placed the baby in the crib, giving his son a peck on the forehead. "Sleep tight."
You couldn't help but feel blessed to have such a wonderful family.
