"So why do you wanna be a cop?" Bradford's voice broke Elsie out of her thoughts. She took her gaze off of the city and turned to face Bradford

"Is that a trick question?" she asked, not knowing if he was being serious.

"If you want me to train you I need to know why your in this car" He responded turning his head to face her.

"I thought it was a shop" Elsie sasses

"You think your funny boot?" The man retortes back

"Sorry" Elsie paused for a moment to think of why she became a cop " My parents weren't the best so I spent my childhood taking care o-" Elsie was interupted by their shop coming to a hard break

"I've been shot" Bradford yells

"wha-"

"where are ya boot"

"what"

"I'm bleeding to death, you have to call for help. where are you"

"oh uhm" Elsie stutters as she sits up in her seat and pulls on her seatbelt to get more slack as she looks out the window in hope of a street sign

"Now I'm dead" Bradford says in a dissapointed tone

"It's your fault" He adds "Get out"

"I- what?" Elsie stutters again

"Get out and walk. you can get back in when you know where you are" He says stirnly

"Seriously?" Elsie sasses

"Now"

Elsie does as he says and gets out of the shop. She begins to start walk as Bradford slowly follows behind. "Know where you are yet officer Denesco?" he asks as he rolls down the window. Elsie turns her head around to find a street sign but to no avail, doesnt see one.

"Finish your story on why you became a cop" He says with a gentle tone. "Is he actually asking?" elsie thought to herself, but when she goes to open her mouth Bradford cuts her off.

"You wanted to piss off your parents for making you the parent in the famil-" Just then the car behind them honks their bradford and his slow driving. "Can you even blame them?" Elsie thought to herself one again as bradford got out and began to walk over to their car,

"Gentlemen, I have an honest question for you" The officer starts " Were you grown in a petri dish of stupid?"

Elsie's eyes widen at his question. The man facing bradford replies in spanish saying he doesnt speak english. "No don't pull that crap with me" Bradford resonds just as elsie asks for their licence and registion in spanish

"Well aren't you fancy" Bradford says as the man hands them the info she requested

"tell him that its immigrants like them that make americans like you look bad. if it was up to me, we'd send them all back by catapult" he says causing an anger in Elsie to rise

Elsie tells them that they should avoid honking at police when your truck is violation of must state vehicle codes. Officer bradford walks infront of the truck "Officer Denesco, a word? Elsie steps to the side as he walks infront of her and reaches infront toward her and beeps off her body cam.

"Do I strike you as a man you means what he says? He asks looking dead at her

"Yes sir"

" Do I seem laid back to you? Wishy-washy in any way?"

"No sir"

He then leans in a little closer and says in spanish "In that case, why would you change the words that come out of my mouth?" Causing Elsie to look towards the truck for a secound before turning back to him as he returns to english " Everything is a test Officer Denesco and you just got another F. I know what your thinking-- was that casual racism a test too, or just the spanish? Unfortunately for you theres no way to know"
