"It was so funny. She nearly slipped down four stairs before she got up" I laughed as I narrated one of my friends drunk stories to sidharth.

I don't know why but people slipping or falling down the stairs, be it drunk or sober always seemed hilarious to me. My first reaction would always be to laugh.

"Huh.." sidharth shook his head indicating me to continue. He leaned on the kitchen counter as he continued to listen to my rants.

I stopped midway as I noticed his eyes stopped blinking. His gaze remained on my face but his eyes held a faraway look, like he was in his own world. Was I boring him with my stories?

But before I could question him, he blurted out unexpectedly "I love you."

Heat crept up my face at the sudden confession. It wasn't like we had never uttered those words before but we never went around saying that everyday either, so I found myself tongue tied.

"Won't you say it back?" His voice held a slight teasing tone as he walked around the kitchen counter and stood before me.

My breath caught in my throat when I gazed into his eyes. It held so much love and adoration that it felt unreal.

"I love you too" I admitted breathlessly.

He took small steps towards me until I was sandwiched between him and the counter, which made me even more breathless.

His proximity always affected me. Of course in a good way. It made me feel fuzzy inside.

He reached out and held my hand in his."Say it again please."

A shy smile spread on my lips as I uttered those words again." I love you too"

I realised how much I liked saying those words. I may not have said it everyday but I made sure to convey it through my actions.

He chuckled and wrapped his arms around me and brought me even closer to him. I gulped trying to regulate my emotions.

He reached out and tucked a strand of hair that fell out of my bun behind my ear. That simple gesture made my stomach do a flip.

Just when I was about to step away, he suddenly lifted me up in bridal style. I let out a gasp and steadied myself by circling my hands around his neck.

"What are you doing?" I gawked at him.

He smirked and his voice was barely above a whisper when he answered,
"I have to show you how much I love you too. Right?"

The hidden meaning behind his words heat up my whole body. I giggled and hid my face in his neck feeling extremely shy. He laughed as he took me to our bedroom.

Oh boy. This is going to be a long night.
