Chavi was left devastated as her mother breathed her last. She tried. The ten year old tried her level best but couldn't saved her mother. Now she was an orphan. Blood drenched corpse of the mother was the ultimate nightmare for the little girl. She glanced at the twins, one stillborn and the other one was crying his heart out. Chavi, although was shivering with fear and uncertainty, held her only left alive baby brother and ran towards the backside door of the house. The widow of Shravan Seth, a woman of shramik caste was maybe bound to have a sad end as her deceased self was lying near the Tulsi plant in between the courtyard of the house.

A while later the door of the house was knocked down as the group of armed men barged inside only to see the wife of a nobel man dead with her stillborn boy by her side

Things would had been better for her if she never got married to him. The moon was keeping an eye on her as she carried her stillborn baby in her arms as her legs carried her towrds the cremation ground.

Nivritti was unaware of the fact that her brother was destroying a beautiful family for his small ego. She was too much engulfed in her own sorrow to even think about anything else.

Her once white attire was now almost drenched in red colour. Her long tresses were loosely down.

She was walking out of the cremation ground after doing the final rituals of her deceased son, she was marching towards her final destination

She was walking out of the cremation ground after doing the final rituals of her deceased son, she was marching towards her final destination. Death!

But destiny had some other plans stored for her. All alone, Nivritti was now standing near the edge of the stream of the gushing river. She was about to move towards her end when she heard the wailing of a child. Her closed eyes were shot open as the cries hit her ear drums. She looked around and saw a basket under a tree. The voice was coming from the basket and she saw a new born baby there.

Chavi was hiding a little away, behind another tree as she watched the royal woman taking her brother along with her.

Keeping all the hatred towards her brother aside, all she could do was to recall her mother's last words to her,"Vachan do hame Chavi, jo hame khuch hua toh tum apne hone wale bhai ya behen ki sadaiv raksha karogi. Iska jiwit rehna atyant avshyak hai. Vachan do!"- " Promise me Chavi, that if anything happens to me then you would always protect your brother or sister. This child needs to survive anyhow. Promise me!".
