I thought English was a fussy language, complicated, challenging to read
When the words come to this sentence and read like
Food your thoughts, or eat your food, and, um
My energy is all fired up, or he will fire you, or the house is on fire, and, um
I will play a game, or let's do our play to show our audience, and, um
You know, "no," but pronounce "no" can be either "no" or "know."

You see, English is complicated
But I don't give up on improving my grammar for English
As long as you keep improving, nothing will fail you
You see, English is my second language
My hands sign "beautiful" in my way as Deaf people sign "beautiful" in their ways
As you speak your beautiful language in your way, and others are in their ways
But English made me determined to learn and write
Why? English is my first written language
It may be my second language, but a written language, Sign Language
Not in my lifetime when I write
But who knows, I might try Sign Language written in the future

I thought English was a fussy language, complicated, challenging to read
But I don't give up on improving my grammar for English
As long as you keep improving, nothing will fail you
You see, English is my second language
Although English is a spoken language, not all spoken languages are universal
Don't you dare to think all sign languages are universal
You can learn a language for your necessity as I have learned for my necessity
Well, I still read my thoughts daily to run my train
And I still wonder how I read English in my mind, not my sign language
I only sign when I'm talking to Deaf people who understand my sign language,
And I gesture when I'm talking to Hearing people who don't understand my voice

But I don't give up on improving my grammar for English
As long as you keep improving, nothing will fail you
