I hope it's the weight of your words
colored in shades of cherry cola
in the beautiful sounds of your voice
dragging me
wave
after wave
deeper and d
e
e
p
e
r
so that as I sink farther
into the crushing weight of reality
I can at least dream of once again
drawing happy faces on your car window
and fade out
smiling
