It's been already a few months since you met Asif and Faruzan.
You actually did make a lot of friends but those two seem to have a special spot in your heart

You didn't know why, but assumed just because they were the very first people you met.

Asif was a gentle and kind-hearted person
You saw that he had many friends and admirers which was quite convincing

But.. as for Faruzan, you rarely saw her with someone else rather than Asif.
And even when he was not there she was all alone

But she didn't seem bothered one bit.

Asif told you a few days ago that Faruzan was his childhood friend and she didn't really have much friends because of her nature

People thought of her as a brat but he defended she was being straightforward and just wasn't in denial of her own skills.

He himself got used to her long ago, but people always seemed reluctant to approach her

She was undeniably smart however, so when people talked to her, it was only for academics.

You did get a lot of help from her in researching too- but at least you were ACTUALLY her friend-

You would be lying if you said Faruzan isn't sassy, but- hear you out, you do not dislike her even one bit

Puspa Café was the perfect place for you three

It had many sweet treats and was suitable to converse or study so it soon became the usual hang out spot.

But the only unusual thing was Asif being late.

Harcoal-Baked Ajilenakh Cake, one of the shop's unique pastry which wasn't really loved by people, but was always Faruzan's favorite pick

Just like any other day, Faruzan ordered it and was currently laid on the table.

You didn't like the look of it at first, but since Faruzan absolutely loved it, you followed and gave it a shot

Which you don't regret one bit.

Truth to be told, when you first saw the cake which was a few months ago, you thought it was burnt and told Faruzan to not eat it

That made Faruzan dumbfounded and laugh- which was your first time seeing her smile genuinely

You heard shouts and fingers snapping in front that made you jump out of your trance.

Faruzan obviously the culprit, looked at you with an unimpressed look
"You really do space out a lot Y/N, makes me almost worried"

"I- I'm sorry Zan, please continue?"
You answered sheepishly

Zan was another nickname Asif called and you decided to call her that too since she didn't seem to mind at all
