"Don't worry, Ray. I'll be fine." Juri chuckled.
They had all come back to her place to discuss the events that had unfolded.
Unfortunately, Dahlia had escaped from them with the help of the Bears, it seemed as though they tracked her location and came to save her.
"You sure?" Ray asked, for the 5th time. Not wanting to leave his bestfriends side until he knew she was more than okay to be left alone.
"I'm sure. I promise, I'll just sleep it off, I have Dami here as well to keep me company. Don't I?" She asked, looking over at said lion who had his head layed beside her, his body curled up beside her.
He let out a low groan as he nudged his face into her neck.
"Don't do anything stupid and just rest up, we'll tell you if we find anything, later." He said, holding his fist out towards her.
"Kay, thanks." She grinned, bumping her own fist against his own.
"Night." He called out as he went towards her door, switching off her light.
"G'night!" She said back, she stared up at her ceiling as she heard the door close shut.
She stayed like that for a while, glancing over at her balcony doors, watching as the moons light filtered in. Illuminating her dark room with its white rays.
She pet Dami at a slow and easing pace, her hand gently moving back and forth making his eyes close.
She was exhausted, the position she was in, feeling very comfortable.
The stress and fighting finally caught up to her and she could feel the damage it had dealt onto her body.
Letting out a soft sigh, she patted around her bed and picked up her phone, turning it on her eyes caught sight of the time in big bold numbers.
It was just past 1 in the morning.
Looking through the notifications she has received, she was looking for a specific something from a certain someone.
'Nothing, yet.' She thought, a slight tinge of disappointment and sadness apparent in her eyes.
She wasn't all too desperate for Dick to send her a message or even stop by her place, but she felt aware that soon enough, she was going to be.
Despite her feeling tired, she couldn't bring herself to sleep.
Slowly and carefully moving herself up, she kicked her legs off the bed and stood up.
Dami lifted his head and blinked, watching her take sluggish steps, one after the other.
Getting himself off the bed, he went over towards her and nudged her lightly, circling her and setting himself down infront of her.
She had a look of surprise and let out a small chuckle, sitting herself sideways onto Dami's back. He stood up with ease and trudged his way towards the balcony.
She held onto his mane as he used his head to push the door open.
He walked out and layed down to allow her to come off.
She did so and ruffled his mane, kissing his scarred eye affectionately.
"Thanks, baby." She said softly, walking over to the railing.
Leaning against it, she let the chill breeze pass onto her body, staring up at the cloudy sky, blocking off half of the moon.
"Well, shit." She mumbled, looking from the moon down to her hands.
