It was especially quiet in the mansion, the usual rowdiness that came from Tobi and Juri was not present.

Along with the mansion being quiet, Kuma was silent as well.

There was no sign of movement from the Bears, not in Gotham, not in the remaining bases that weren't obliterated by Kojirou.

Nothing.

It was unsettling, but this allowed both families to discuss and plan, compare and prepare.

Kojirou scheduled to meet with Bruce in two nights.

Besides that, the family and the workers were more than anxious for Juri. She hadn't left her room that much.

At all, even.

She mainly ate her food in her room, had the maids and Kaguya help clean her up and change her clothes.

Kojirou let out a sigh as he glanced down at his wife who sat beside him, twisting her ring around as they listened to an update of Juri's health, from Hilda.

"It's not looking good." She said.

Jire stopped her fidgeting with shaky hands, immediately seeking for comfort from Kojirou by locking her hand into his own.

"Her condition wasn't the best in the first place, but it has gotten worse. Its as though the poison is only truly taking effect now and its possible that it will worsen from here on out." She said, flipping through a file.

"We have the equipment to subdue the massive effects that might take place but, it all truly depends on how Juri's organs, will fight it." She said, looking at them all.

"The sepsis that she was supposed to have, seemed to have been canceled out by the poison, now its one less thing to worry about. But this just means that the poison is extremely strong, to the point that it completely rid of the bacteria and is now taking control of her body."

"Now, one final thing." She had a tense look on her face as her eye lids lowered.

"Juri must not, under any circumstances be allowed to see her body-" The door was swung open and their attention turned to the entrance.

Juri stood there, slowly trudging into the room.

Kaguya and three other maids were behind her, worried looks on their faces, they seemed to have been trying to persuade Juri back into her room to rest.

Kaguya had an anxious look on her face as the other workers had fearful ones.

Kojirou couldn't utter a word, his face contoured in a petrified look against his will.

She truly had worsened, her body even skinnier, her eyes showcasing her tiredness, the way she took small steps forward, it showed she wasn't at all getting better.

"Juri?" Tobi mumbled, his voice barely coming out. It was quite a shock to all of them that she had decided to come out of her room after so long.

"I want to eat with you guys, it should be time for lunch, right?" She asked lightly, her lips twitching up into a smile ever so lightly.

Kojirou's throat tightened, he couldn't say anything. His eyes stung as he stared at Juri, he looked away from her as a frown settled on his face.

"Y-yes, come on, the food will get cold now." Jire stuttered out as she quickly made her way towards Juri and walking her out of the room.

Kaguya stayed behind with a look of regret plastered on her face.

Hilda stared at Kaguya and she let out a defeated sigh, scratching out a sentence from her clipboard.
