It was sort of bittersweet as Donnie and I began packing our belongings. I was really enjoying the time I had with him, but I know he had to be missing his lab.

A small sigh escaped my lips, as the zipper of my suitcase was finally sealed shut. I suppose Donnie heard me, as his head turned to look at me and he cocked it a bit in concern. "Doing alright?" He asked, as he carefully assembled his portable lab back into its storage case. When he was finished getting his own things put away, he made his way to me and took a seat on the bed.

"I'm fine! Feeling a lot better as well. I guess just a little down, it was nice to get away from the chaos of everything for once. I've never gone on a nice vacation before."

"I dunno, you almost died and almost caught pneumonia. You sure it's worth being sad about?"

His response made me sort of snort in reply.

"Even so, I still had a lot of fun. Of course ideally I wouldn't recommend the whole drowning part, but I got to actually get some time with y-"

My voice caught in my throat, and for a quick diversion I faked a coughing fit. Motioning for him to get me some water. With a drastic leap, Donnie ran out of the room and I could hear the kitchen sink turn on.

That was way too close. I don't want him thinking I'm weird for wanting time with him. It's not really something that's weird, but Donnie thinks different from the others. Sure, Leo would be over the moon to hear that. But how would Donnie react?

I was so lost in my own thought I didn't even see Donnie in front of me, snapping his fingers. Shaking my head, I looked up to see a worried expression on his face.

"Jeez, Y/n. You were scaring me. I called your name out five times. Are you feeling alright?"

Taking the water from his hand, I sipped from it and nodded.

"I am, just lost in thought. I'm sor-"

My eyes squinted as a sharp blue light appeared beside us, opening to reveal Leonardo stepping through. The blue masked turtle looked between Donnie and I, wanting to very obviously say something. But the silence in the room was way too deafening.

"Right on time, Leo. Thanks for picking us up."

Donnie said, finally breaking the silence. I nodded in thanks, showing Leo a smile. He let out a breath he seemed to be holding, lunging forward and wrapping his arms around me into a tight embrace. Thankfully, I was able to move the glass of water so it wouldn't spill all over us.

"I was so, so worried about you. We all were. Are you okay?"

"Leo I'm okay I promise. Thank you for bringing me medicine, because of you I was able to recover a lot quicker."

As thanks, I placed a small peck onto his cheek, before grabbing my luggage and walking through the portal. I could hear him let out a small gasp, before shuffling to follow me through the portal.

Once all of use were through, i took in the sights of the lair. Though, that didn't last long when we were greeted by two more rather excited turtles.

"Next vacay I call dibs!" Mikey excitedly blurted out, grabbing my hands and wanting details on all of the...'radical and cool' things we had done. The youngest of the turtles was definitely the most hyper, and he was always adorable in how he showed himself.

"How are you feeling, Y/n?"

My attention was grabbed away by Raph, who had a worried expression on his face. Showing him a sincere smile, some of the worry seemed to leave him.

"My throats not in the best condition still, but I am feeling better. It was nice to get away for a little, but maybe next time we can do a family trip and everyone can make memories together."
