Mum: HURRY UP! I'M NOT WASTING MY TIME ON YOU!
Mum yelling at me, normal.

Me: Hey, Frida!
Frida: Not right now. Hilda is sad.
Me: Oh. okay. Hilda, what's wrong?
Hilda: My mom yelled at me because I got a B-!
Me: I'd kill for a B-!

Bully: Heard ya failed in math. No surprise! You couldn't calculate yourself out of a paper bag.
Bully's Henchman: Certainly couldn't fight his way out of one either.
Bully: Yeah. *punches me*
Bully's henchman: *punches me*

Mum: You got a black eye. Do a better job at defending yourself.
Me: Oh, okay.
Mum: Let's see how well you defend yourself.
Mum: *punches me*

That night...
Me: *sitting in my bed*
Butterfly: *lands on my hand*
Me: You know, my grandma always loved bugs before she passed. Said she'd reincarnate as a butterfly. She cared about me. Might be the only one who does.
Butterfly: *flies away*
Me: Sigh.

Frida: Are you okay? You look tired.
Me: Me? I'm okay. Totally. As usual. Always.
Frida: Okay.
Hilda: Frida! We have to go check out the fairy mound!
Frida: Whoa, whoa! Why?
Hilda: There are real fairies there!
