Siph dragged me out of my room and brought me outside. I closed my eyes and didn't feel anything for a moment.
"Callestor? Callestor!"
I opened my eyes in a blur at first. I felt like I was getting tickled by a million needles.
"Uh. Um."
"It's just grass Callestor."
"I."
I cleared my throat and felt a million pills fill my mouth. Once I exhaled, it was as if I lost all anxieties.
"I like it."
I felt a bit better. Finally getting fresh air. She grabbed my hand and ran away. Taking in the fresh air and running towards the yellow bus.
"C'mon! Don't make me drag you!"
"You're faster than light!"
"I'm happy."
"I'm glad."
Once we got to the bright yellow bus, we hopped in only to see that the only seats left were the two seats directly behind the driver.
"Uh..."
"It's okay Siph. It's fine."
"No it's not!"
She bolted out of the bus and immediately fell right after. She started bawling and hugging her knee as though it was hurt. It wasn't.
"Siph. Siph it's okay. We're fine see?"
"SHUT UP WILL YOU? You don't give a shit! You don't. No one does."
And her abrupt smile came through as she stood up and playfully punched me.
"Ah! What was that about?"
"What was what about?"
Shit.
"Oh um... Nothing- Let's just get this trip over with."
"Right behind you!"
I hastened towards the bus yet again as Siph followed not long behind me. I turned around to check if she was still smiling.
"What's with the sad face?"
"Nothing."
I decided to keep my mouth shut as even I was getting irritated with my voice.
"Sit down!"
The driver scanned the room to see if anyone obeyed.
"Now here are the rules... Of course for people without common sense that is."
Not even a single breath filled the atmosphere. It's almost cancerously dead.
"Yeah... The seniors didn't laugh either.... Anyways! The rules are simple: No eating, talking too loud, sexual activity, and the given... Harassment and or violence of any kind."
The mentally ill perked up.
"That means you Mrs. Marsen."
Everyone stared at her for a minute as she nodded and scooted back in her seat.
"Alright! Everyone seated?"
The vehicle; quiet again.
"Yes."
They all looked to me with complete apathy.
"What? It's obligatory."
Siph looked down and folded her frail hands on her satin skirt upon her knees. At first she seemed pale and lifeless, but a sudden look sprung upon her.
"We should go to the shops!"
"Why on Earth would we do that?!"
"Well... if you must know; your pants are hideous, you have terrible hair, AND you look like a homeless man."
