"Do yo think I should go and propose her today?"
"Bro you have seen her once, never had a conversation with her, you don't know anything about her likes, dislikes and behavior, you don't even know her name! How can you propose a stranger!?"
"Her name is Anaya. And I had a conversation with her once, also, she likes mint chocochip and hates butter pecan."
"How do you know about this? And is knowing favorite ice cream flavor enough for spending your life with someone?"
"Tu sabar to kar mere yaar

"Besure insaan chup karja. If you ever sing like this in front of her then just accept the fact that she deserves someone better and that's the reason she left you."
"Okay Tansen ki aulaad."
"You didn't tell me, how you got this information?"
"You won't leave it right detective? Well after I saw her...."
"....?" (His expressions spoke this)
"I asked about her to the librarian there and later took care of her behind her back."
"You STALKED her if we simplify it."
"You can say that... but no! I just wanted to know about her so that I have something to say when I propose her. For instance: I want to treat you with mint chocolate for the rest of my life, will you be my companion?" He said dramatically.
His friend raised his shoulders and sighed and further said "You said you had a conversation with her, when?"
"Actually, I saw her going to an ice cream parlour and I asked the manager there to let me be at the counter for an hour. So when she came to pay the bill, I told her the amount and she said thank you while leaving."
"And?"
"What and? Bas itna hi..."
"You call this a conversation?"
"SHE SAID THANK YOU!"
"It was just basic manners c'mon bhai"
"This shows that she is kind hearted"
His friend patted his head with his hand and gave up.
"There's no use of arguing with you, right? So just to give you some sense I'm stating this fact that high chances she won't say yes because she don't know you yet. First lay the foundation of friendship."
After thinking for half of his life he replied "Okay I'll listen to you for once since I think you are right."
"Thank you." His friend said as if he just saved him from an alien attack.
"Okay don't me so dramatic now. I'll go and ask her to be my friend framing this as a coincidence."
"Yes you can go and 'propose' a friendship offer."
So does it mean that shifting in that borivali apartment and knowing her favourite ice cream parlour and ice cream flavour was a plan of Ayaan to befriend Anaya? Is 'he' even Ayaan? And who's 'his friend' then?
