Chapter XXVIII

Anaya opened up the door for Mr. Dark and Mr. Martin. Mr. Dark was in his usual attire, long black overcoat and black hat with black sunglasses and mask while Mr. Martin was in formal blue shirt and black pants.

After today's morning, Anaya had mentally prepared herself to face HER Ayaan as Ahaan and Mr. Dark. It took of efforts to convince herself that Ayaan and Ahaan are two different person, two different personalities, two different soul. But she hadn't prepared herself for what was coming ahead now.

"You are under arrest." Mr. Martin said as he the took hand cuffs out from his pocket. The ground beneath her feet slipped and she stood there flabbergasted. Not again. Ishika came out of her room after Anaya didn't answer her calls three time when she asked 'kaun hai?'

"For what are you here now?" Ishika said in an outraged and offended tone.
"Mind your tone Ms. Ahuja. We are here to perform our duty and we are NOT answerable to you." Ahaan replied her in a straight voice which held a warning in it, highlighting the word 'not'.

"Well ladies, we are here because Ms. Banerjee really enjoy doing illegal or inappropriate stuffs. And I guess also to increase our workload." Mr. Martin replied with a forced and lined up smile.

"What new accusation do you have now?" Anaya asked. From her tone, it was unclear what was she feeling at the moment. When your world flips in a day, what more do you expect than uncertainty?

"You've tried to escape from police custody. Neither anyone from the police department nor Mr. Dark had given you a clean chit. It was just a medical emergency. And you availed the benefit from it and came home. As if you were led free enough?" Mr. Martin explained. During this conversation Ahaan has removed his sunglasses and was staring at Anaya expressionless. Maybe he was profiling her. Trying to understand whether she could actually murder someone or not and if what she said was true or not? What do you do when looking at someone whom you love gives you pain? Wo ishq hi kya jo dard na de.

Anaya tried to ignore the hole burning into her face. "Then why didn't you took me with you yesterday, Mr. Dark?" Anaya said as she finally looked at Ahaan emphasizing on Mr. Dark; now who could even explain it to Anaya that it was Ahaan who didn't arrest you yesterday and it's Mr. Dark who's here to arrest you. Yesterday was a lover-boy Ahaan and today is a Ayaan's brother Ahaan.

"We are here to rectify our mistake of trusting you Ms. Banerjee, also of not explaining the protocol to you. But isn't your friend a lawyer who has actually studied law and know the rules? Haven't she informed you?" Mr. Dark said in a mocking tone.

"Yes Mr. Dark, and according to law, she should have been checked there and there itself. It was your impulsive decision to take her to the hospital." Ishika interrupted. She continued "don't worry Ana, I'll apply for an anticipatory bail, since they are here today without any warrant."
"Because it's a cognizable offence."
"Not when you yourself took her away instead of getting her treated by medical officer."
"Arrest her." He said in a low voice without bothering to give a reply to Ishika. He knew he messed up.

Anaya calmly went with him as she knew she hadn'tdone anything wrong. Or maybe she was confident enough that someone will get her out of this surely.

Hey reader! This is a small update since I just wished to update but I haven't typed the chapter yet. And since the storyline doesn't get converted into text automatically from my brain (sadly) and also because I'm too lazy to type(not always), I'll end this chapter here. Wait until I get my energy back. (Also I didn't wish to drag it more)
