summer 2019;
as i'm getting ready to go to work, stephanie walks into my room and jumps on my bed.
"des man why don't you just take a break off a work?" stephanie ask
"im pretty sure merky festival isn't going to pay my bills while im gone" i say
"come on mann, half of london is going thoo"
"shut up" i kissed my teeth
"turn on back my music and get out" i add on
stephanie walks out in defeat and turns on back my music
as i start back folding my clothes, she comes back in my room,
"it's not like it's just going to be me and you there, the whole group is going"
"and even if you get annoyed of us there's nuff man there who wil-" she adds on
"not interested" i say to her
"des please i don't want to leave u here by yourself" she adds on
"it's your last day working your off for the summer man"
"stephanie get out my room"
she kisses her teeth and leaves
while she speaks i get ready to go to leave out the house, i put in my earphones and grab my bag.
i play fashion week by steel banglez and walk to the bus stop.
i work in central london at a fashion store, it isn't new to me to see famous faces come in on the regular especially the footballers. working is all i do now a days, im not sure if im scared to go out my comfort zone and go out to party with my friends or im just too focused on my job to get distracted?
