~Y/N's POV~

I sat on the bed, watching Jesse swing his sword against an armor stand, practicing his swinging and attacks. Olivia had been up in the treehouse with us as well, asking Jesse and me goofy questions like we always do. "Jesse." Olivia started. "Would you rather fight a hundred chicken-sized zombies or ten zombie-sized chickens?" There was a pause "Just to be clear, you wouldn't have any weapons or armor. So you'd have to fight them with your hands." Jesse thought about it for a moment before deciding his response. "I'd rather take the little tiny...little zombies." Olivia seemed slightly surprised at his choice. " A hundred of them...crawling all over you, with their tiny hands." She then groaned to imitate a zombie. I laughed a bit "All I need is, like, a shovel. I'm telling you, way too easy." Jesse said. I had to admit, he might be right. I'd probably choose that too. Olivia had been laughing a bit, then calmed herself and spoke. "Soo...I've got a daylight sensor on the roof..." "Mmm-hmm.." "And if I did this right, these lamps should turn on once it gets dark." Olivia had always been really good with redstone stuff. I mean, Ellegaard is basically her biggest idol, so it's not much of a surprise. She placed some redstone dust on the table and began to talk again, "I didn't want to just leave Reuben here with nothing while we're at the building competition." "He's coming with us." She seemed surprised at Jesse once again. "Really?" Jesse and I looked at each other. "What kind of question is that? Of course he is." I said. "Okay, I'm not saying he shouldn't come. I'm not...but don't you think it's a little weird that you take him with you everywhere you go?" Olivia paused. "He makes us look like...I don't know...amateurs." Jesse says nothing in return, physically...His facial expression says differently though. He was giving her a slightly dirty look. Olivia quickly noticed this. "Alright! I was just making a point." "I didn't mean anything by it. I'm glad he's coming. I just don't wanna give people one more reason to call us 'losers'. I'm getting tired of it! I'm tired of being a laughing stock!" She complained slightly. "Dude, embrace being a loser, Olivia. If you do that, you can be anything you wanna be!" I announced with a smile. "What if I wanna be a winner?" My smile dropped and I replied. "Except that...anything else though!" Olivia laughed a bit. "Alright. Fine!" There was a quick second of silence before it was interrupted by a hissing sound.

SSSSSS.........

Reuben let out a small gasp. "Do you hear that?" Jesse questions. Olivia and I nod simultaneously, hearing it again.

SSSSSS.........

We all look at the trapdoor resting closed on the floor. Olivia let out an audible 'oh no' before Axel swung the door open, scaring all 4 of us. "AHHHHHHHHHH" I screamed as I fell on my butt. Reuben had fallen over, scared out of his poor little mind. Axel then takes off his creeper mask, revealing that he is cracking up with laughter. "Oh man you guys totally freaked out! That was awe–" He was trying to say before Reuben had interrupted him by charging at him and bumping right into his chest. Axel let out an 'oof'. "Axel, what's the matter with you?" Olivia angrily questions as I stand up, wiping my butt off. "Great. Now I'm going to smell like a pig at Endercon. I thought we were buddies!" Axel complains to the pig as his little hooves tap the floor in the opposite direction. "Cool mask." Jesse managed to spit out after the large scare. Axel smiled, staring at the green creeper face in his hand. "It IS, isn't it?" Jesse spoke with sarcasm "Yeah! Very convincing." Axel replayed the moment in his head once again. "The look on your faces!" "Did you bring the fireworks?" Olivia asked as Jesse frowned angrily. "Of course I did! I even brought something for the little guy!" Axel says, implying Reuben. He pulls out an ender dragon costume. I looked at it in awe. It had an ender dragon head and the jaw was open, leaving the space for seeing and breathing. There were little wings attached to a harness-like object. Jesse really seemed to like it because he was enthusiastic when speaking. "Nice!" Olivia spoke up, "You brought Reuben a disguise?" Axel looked at her. "We're going to a convention! SOMEBODY"S gotta wear a costume!" He said. Axel then proceeded to put the costume on Reuben. I smiled and watched. Reuben let out an excited squeal and ran around the room. We all watched and smiled. "He looks AWESOME!" "Yeah, you did an amazing job Axel." Jesse and I said. Reuben oinked and looked at us. I bet down to pat him on the head as Axel opened his mouth to speak. "It only took me like, a million hours to build it." "Alright. Alright." Olivia proceeded to ask Axel the same question once again. "You definitely brought the fireworks, right?" Axel rolled his eyes and started talking. "Yeeesss! I'm ready! Waiting on you guys!" He opened the trapdoor and started down the ladder, Olivia following shortly after. "Hurry and grab your stuff!" We heard Axel yell. I turned to look at Jesse. "We'll meet you downstairs, okay?" I asked him. He smiled and replied with 'okay'. I smiled back and made my way down the ladder. I got to the bottom and walked backwards a little bit so I was out of the way from it. I looked over at Olivia, who had a worried expression. "Don't worry Olivia, we'll win this time, I promise you." She looked over at me with slightly widened eyes, before resting her face and giving me a small smile. I returned the smile. Jesse had started coming down the ladder with Reuben in his arm. He hits the floor with his feet and sets the pig down. "Let's roll!" Axel announces. "Roll?" I asked in a teasing manner. "Yeah, dude. 'Roll'." Olivia said. Jesse was the last to speak before we started walking. "Let's go!". And with that, we started our journey to the competition. We were walking for a minute in a comfortable silence, before Axel broke it with a statement. "I heard a pretty juicy rumor about the building competition, but you guys have to PROMISE not to say anything." "Okay." "ALSO, it's in two parts! Each part more exciting than the last!" "Spit it out, Axel!" Jesse interrupted with anticipation. "Part one: The special guest of this year's Endercon is none other than Gabriel The Warrior him-freaking- self." Olivia, Jesse, and I widened our eyes as we looked at each other. "WOAH! What's part two?!" Axel smiled. "Part Two: According to my sources, the winner of the building competition is gonna get to meet him." Olivia silently gasps. "It doesn't mean ANYTHING if we lose... but if we WIN...oh man! This would make up for all the losing." Jesse perked up, "Meeting Gabriel would be a dream and an honor!" I would say the same, except I would rather meet Soren. But meeting Gabriel sounds just as awesome. "Totally, he's awesome! It'd be amazing to meet him!" I smiled as I remembered something. "Reuben better be careful in that costume, last time Gabriel saw a dragon, it didn't end well." I said, chuckling. "Soooo...does this 'source' of yours make posters for a living?" Olivia questioned. Axel replied with a simple 'what' before we stopped walking, only to see tons of posters all over the ground, etc. Axel spoke with bashfulness, "Yeah...my source...doesn't exist. You guys are my only friends." I silently laughed as we started walking again. "Guys let's stay focused, we have a competition to win." Jesse announced. "We never win, and this year we have Reuben with us! We basically have no chance." Olivia said pessimistically. "Faith, Olivia." The brown-haired boy said. "What?" I smiled and spoke, "A little slice. A sliver. A portion. Just a little faith. That's all we need. Also, I'm hungry." I paused, "To win." I finished saying. "No, no, I'm with that." Axel agreed. "Alright." I guess Jesse was in thought because he bursted out talking...more like yelling. "Wait a minute! Wait a minute! We're thinking about this all WRONG! The point of the building competition isn't just to BUILD something! We have to DO something to get noticed by the judges!" "Okay, then. So how do we do this?" Olivia asked. "We don't just build something functional, we build something FUN! After we finish the fireworks machine like we planned, then build something cool on top of it!" "You might be onto something!" "If you wanna get a reaction out of the judges, you need to build something scary. So I say we build a creeper!" Axel said, practically yelling. "Wouldn't an enderman be better? I'm more scared of endermen than creepers." Olivia said in disagreement. "Both have their moments. Both pretty scary." "Then again, you scared the CRAP out of us, with a creeper today." Jesse perked up with his opinion, as well as I. "Endermen are cool." "I think we should stick with a theme. Since Reuben has an ender dragon costume, we should do an enderman." Olivia and Jesse smiled and nodded in agreement. "Let's build an enderman!" "Awe...Olivia's thing?" Axel complained. Olivia smirked, "Are you whining?" "No, I was saying "Awesome"." I had a realization and spoke out loud about it. "I think this is the first time we've decided on something before getting to the competition," Jesse smiled. "You think we got everything we need?" Olivia asked. Jesse shrugged, answering. "It wouldn't hurt to grab a little more." "Let's get with the grabbin' then." Axel spoke. "We're so prepared. We can't lose. Cannot. Bring it in." As he said that, Jesse put his hand out, Axel, Olivia, and I followed shortly after. As well as Reuben with his little hoove. "Dare to prepare" on three. No. "Preparing is daring" Nope that's the same thing- forget it. Team on three." Jesse said, struggling extremely.

"One...two...three"

"Team!"

"Prepare!" Axel decides to say instead.

We all run different directions to acquire materials. I Grabbed the basics: wool, wood, stone, and sand. I'm not too sure what the rest of the group got, but I grabbed what I thought would work with our build. We all regrouped and started walking to Endercon. Axel started talking, "We know what we're building. We've got all the stuff for it. We are so ready." Olivia spoke, finally with optimism, "This year, it's going to be different. I'm not just ready to build, I'm ready to win." Just then, a stranger walked by us. "Nice pig, Losers." I just shrugged it off, but I could tell that hurt Olivia a little bit.

Sorry for the awkward ending for this chapter. I originally wrote this as one long chapter and changed my mind about wanted to do one chapter be one episode. It would have been so long and annoying to read lol. This might happen again in the future, so my apologies if it does.
