THIRTY-EIGHT

SCENERY:: Fields

THE DAY WAS TIRING. Rumors, the news technically, spread quickly, making the demigods annoyed. It seemed as if Thalia getting angry was something that a wizard wouldn't do. Percy got annoyed the most, people claimed the two hung out the most, so they tended to ask him for answers.

"Why would she hit her? It's totally unfair," a young gryffindor exclaimed next to Percy one day. Her and her friends were seated near him on the fields for that random creatures class with the half giant. They frowned as she continued, "If you really think about it, Hermione didn't do anything, I wouldn't expect someone so royal and kind to do that!"

He rolled his sea green eyes and huffed. The bot stood from his crossed legged pose and moved away from the group. Pollux stifled his laughter, well tried to, before bursting out in laughter and snickers. He sent glares at the blonde son of Dionysus who soon began growing grapes.

"Evenin' class! Today we'll  be learnin' bout Pegusi! They be an extinct species nowadays" the half giant bellowed. He walked towards the group holding a black pegasus in one hand by a rein. Percy's eyes widened as he noticed it was Blackjack.

"Look at that," Pollux murmured. He unconsciously walked towards the horse species as Percy grinned proudly. You see, the boy used to be scared of horses until the son of Poseidon began showing him about them, it felt nice to see his friend being confident. "For the record, they aren't extinct. Just, they don't hang around Europe..."

"What do you mean?" Ginerva Weasley exclaimed in a questioning manner. Percy bit his lip back, trying to let the boy speak instead. So when he didn't, the demigod ushered him to speak up.

"Oh— well, our school has many Pegusi...but they don't come to Europe due to the Masquerade of the 60's, which I'm sure you know of. It's in the history of Hogwarts," Pollux muttered out with a long frown. Percy nodded as acknowledgment, it was true, a fight that happened in the 1960's with Wizards. "Percy?"

"It's true, you Wizards were supposed to care for them as you promised us. Instead you murdered them for food. That, is why we disappeared and didn't help you this year, because my father adores Pegusi. They're his family, aswell as mine. Which is why it's surprising that you are trapping him here," Percy gasped for air at last. It felt silent and comforting, well, until the rumbling started.

At first the two demigods thought it would be Percy needing to calm his anger, but he wasn't as angry now that he calmed down. Pollux gasped unsteadily and frowned, "Percy...it's begun." Percy scoffed and looked into the woods. The trees shook, some falling from weakness.

"INSIDE EVERYONE INSIDE, COME ON," He hustled everyone as he untangled the Pegasus from the reigns. He rode Blackjack freely to the castle and settled him down. Percy muttered with a gulp, "Oh gods, the fates aren't...in our favor." Soon enough every student was put to see the commotion, making Percy glare at Harry Potter, Hermione Granger, and Ronald Weasley.

"Everyone to your common rooms! Harry, if your group disobeys these orders, well, there is no tellin' what the royals shall do to you," Hagrid yelled out. His words were fumbled to an odd accent before Harry nodded  with widened eyes.

Jason's jaw clenched soon enough as they all walked to the Gryffindor common room. Jason and Leo followed the three 8th years and smirked as they became invisible. Leo nodded cheekily at Jason's unspoken thoughts, they would mess with the three.

"Leo, they will find out about or plans to destroy the world. It will be horrible," Jason said, referring to the plans Gaea had made back then. Leo nodded with a frown. Although his eyes were laughing, his face was serious.

"Don't worry, they have a plan," Leo ensured. Soon they heard footsteps leaving towards McGonnagal's office. The two began laughing, cackling, as they returned to their own common room.

"What's got you two so excited?" Reyna asked as she sharpened her sword for battle. They had at least a day until they arrive to Hogwarts. The demigods were preparing their own tricks for war in their own ways. The Stolls and Clovis had begun making tricks and plays to make them feel...a certain way. Will was busy preparing the infirmary for visitors before beginning to practice his magical arrows.

It was something new that Apollo had given him. The scroll was always going to say that the son of Apollo would always be given the title of best archer. However, Will was horrible at it, so magical arrows would work. They helped him lead the arrows where he wanted, if he thought of the place he wanted it to end.

Then Nico was busy trying to raide the dead without melting away, which Hazel and Ellen helped out with a they fiddled with their own magic. However, the others only practiced their own steps to fighting monsters. They practiced with steel swords that weighed the same, except for Percy. He was busy contacting the gods, and he wouldn't give anyone his sword.

"It's time to play a game."
