Chapter 4: A Touch of Intimacy

The day after the ball, it was time for me to go home. However, after finding out about my family and sister abusing me, Mary forbade me from going home with Amber. Amber looked furious with Mary's decision to keep me in this kingdom and not let me leave with her. She was absolutely livid at the idea of you spending more time with Mary, but there was nothing she could do about it. She was only a little princess, not Queen.

"You'll come with me, I'm your sister. I'm supposed to take care of you and now the Queen has stripped me of my rights. This is ridiculous! It's my job to look after you, not her!" Amber shouted, grabbing my arm tightly. I pulled away and glared at her. "You did not look after me.. you hurt me, day by day.. I can't get intimate after what you did to me.." I snapped, my eyes full of hurt and heartbreak. "Mary loves me more than you and our parents ever did.."

Amber froze upon hearing that Mary loves me more than her. Her anger suddenly turned to sadness and her eyes widened as she realized the truth behind it. She started to feel guilty, ashamed for how she acted towards you and how she treated me.
"What does it matter who loves you more? I'm your sister, I have the right to protect you. Mary has no right over you. You are mine. This is a travesty." My body shook, tears filled my eyes. "You have no right over me.. I love Mary and she loves me.. I'm not leaving her or her kingdom.. leave, sister..and never return."

Amber's rage flared up again as she felt like her power was being taken away. She saw me, her sister, in Mary's arms as she pleaded to stay with the queen for good. Her tone turned sharp and bitter as she spoke back to me. " I will not allow you to choose her over your own family. If you truly care about me in the slightest, you will return home with me."

I glared..all tears gone.. "Before Rihanna vanished, I did.. now that's she gone.. I will never care about you." Amber fell silent at my words, but a hateful glare returned to her face. "Oh, so now the truth comes out. You never cared about me even when she was still alive. I understand, then. You love this queen more than me, even more than your own sister who's been with you since birth and cares for you. What a cruel, heartless thing to do."

"You were always cruel to me.. it's my turn.." I turned and left. I leaned against a pillar.. sighing heavily and closed my eyes.. I shuddered and bit back my tears.. I'm free now.. Mary hugged me from behind. Mary didn't say anything as she wrapped her arms around me from behind. She could sense the hurt and rage that lingered within me, but she also knew that there was something else. Something good hiding beneath it all. She took a deep breath and sighed softly, her fingers running along me back to make you feel comfortable.

I leaned back into her touch. "You don't care that I can't get intimate, do you?" I had to know..I had to. Mary paused for a moment. She took her time to think about her response, choosing her words carefully. "I care for you more than you will ever realize. I've seen the scars on your body and I can only imagine the pain you've experienced. There are other ways that we can share intimacy and passion. Do not fret over such topics." Guilt filled my heart.

"I'm so sorry.." I whispered. Mary shushed me with her hand and spoke softly, soothing my sorrows away. " You don't have to be sorry, darling. This is not your fault, you are a victim in this. The people who mistreated you are at fault, not you. Your scars are a testament to your strength. I see them as something beautiful, not something to be ashamed of. And you have nothing to be sorry about. Trust me." I turned around and hugged her tightly, burying my face into her neck and breathing in her scent -

Mary couldn't help but smile softly as she felt me bury my face into her neck, my breathing matching hers, my heartbeats synchronizing. Her body was warm and soft, her fingers gently stroking the back of my head. The world around us was fading away, all that mattered right now was us. I kissed her neck, my lips pressing gently onto her skin. "I love you." I whispered against her skin.

Mary's breath hitched and she pulled me close, pressing your bodies together as I kissed her neck and held her tightly. She moaned softly and closed her eyes as she soaked in my touch. Her heartbeat was racing quickly and her lips pressed against my neck, her tongue grazing my skin, her teeth gently nibbling on it. I gasped and shivered, shuddering.. a part of me wanted it so bad.. yet another part of me didn't. I moaned softly.. "Mary.. please.. please heal me." I held her tightly.

Mary continued to caress your body and neck as I bit my lip and held her tightly. She could sense another wave of emotion from me. My lips pressed closer to her neck and she knew that I wanted her. She was tempted to indulge me now, to continue the affection I shared between the both of us. She was about to follow my desires and kiss my neck, but instead, her lips slowly moved to my ear and she whispered softly..

"My darling.. please be patient. I will take care of you and make you feel safe and loved. But I think you should be the one healing yourself. We cannot be intimate at this time. I don't want to hurt you, you've been through so much already. Let's work on healing those scars of yours. Let me take the pain away from your heart... Let me take care of you.."

I nodded, kissing her gently and hugging her. She felt so warm, so gentle, so soothing. She returned the kiss, her lips soft and sweet. Her fingers gently rubbed up and down my back. We broke the kiss. "I love you.." I whispered. "I love you too." Her voice was soft and gentle as she whispered those words. She kissed my forehead and rested her head on your shoulder, sighing softly. Even though we just met yesterday, the spark was there. I could feel Mary's protectiveness over me. I've suffered too long. She would give up everything if it meant to see me happy and healthy once again.
