Chapter 30

Y/n's POV

Big brother and I came running up the station's stairway before getting hit my Mahito's arm that had a few humans on it. We were launched back by the hit before big brother tried checking on the one who he got hit with. I could tell that most of the humans were dying from the attack that Mahito hit them with. I looked up, seeing Mahito rushing towards us before he made his arm into a spiked club looking weapon. The human that big brother was holding and checking on started to transfigure before blowing up, covering both of us in blood. Big brother got the worst of it and some of the blood covered his eyes, making him shut his eyes. I could still Mahito as he got closer to big brother, but as he did I stepped in between them and threw a punch towards Mahito. My hit landed, but Black Flash didn't activate before a punch of spikes came out of Mahito's chest. "Kugisaki?" Big brother asked. 

"Big sis is still here?" I asked, looking at the hurt Mahito. I smirked before looking at Mahito before the spikes disappeared. Big brother got up and rushed towards the injured Mahito, hitting him in the chest. Mahito was launched back before big brother and I started landing a barrage of hits. Mahito wasn't able to defend himself while big sis' technique was still active. Mahito was launched into a pillar from our combo attacks before we both rushed forward, hitting him in the stomach and chest at the same time with our cursed energy. He bled from his eyes and mouth before we punched him again and again, causing a bunch of damage to the area behind him. We went to attack him again, but Mahito divided himself up into smaller pieces of himself to avoid our attack. I watched as big brother attacked one of the divided pieces, killing it, before sensing Mahito's main soul elsewhere. "You fell for it." Mahito said. We rushed after him as he quickly ran towards the exit. As we were nearing the exit a second Mahito came down the stairs of the exit. "He can make a double of himself?" I asked, still chasing him. The two Mahito's rushed past each other before I saw big sis looking over at us confused. Mahito laughed before big brother shouted for big sis to run. Mahito touched her face before I rushed over and big brother killed the copy of Mahito. "Big sis? Talk to me." I begged looking at her. Big sis touched the side of her face that Mahito touched before looking down at me. "Be a good girl for Yuji." Big sis said. I looked at her confused.

"Saki? Is there anything we can do? Please you have to help me." I begged. Saki was silent and didn't answer me before big sis patted my head. "Itadori, tell everyone for me. Life wasn't so bad." Big sis said. The left side of big sis' face turned red before blowing apart and her body fell to the floor. I just stared down at big sis' body as tears began filling my eyes. "Kugisaki?" Big brother asked. I knelt down hearing big brother's shaky breath. "Kugisaki.... I-I can't..." Big brother said. I could hear him almost crying before I heard Mahito running towards us. I growled as I looked at him with tears in my eyes before he rushed past me and hit big brother with a Black Flash. Mahito grabbed big brother before throwing him into a wall. "I bet you thought you'd be doing some common pest control or defeating ghosts in a fairy tale." Mahito said. throwing big brother to another wall. I looked up before rushing towards Mahito only to get kicked away. "That's what you thought you'd be doing when you came down here, wasn't it? Damn little brats, you're both so naive." Mahito asked, walking over to big brother. 

Mahito hit big brother again making him cough up a lot of blood. "Idoits! This is war! It's not some fight to correct a mistake! It's a clash of what we believe is right!" Mahito shouted, thrasing big brother. I stood up and looked at him feeling a burning feeling welling up in my stomach. The angier I got the hotter the feeling burned in me. "You and your fragile ideas of justice!" Mahito said. He stopped thrasing big brother for a moment before stepping close to him. "You are me, Yuji Itadori, Y/n. Just as I kill people without a second thought you both save people without a second thought." Mahito said. I growled before rushing towards him hitting Mahito into the chest with my cursed energy. He didn't move any as he picked me up by the hair. "You're my mere opposite. The instincts of a curse versus a so-called dignity game finding human reasoning. This is a war to determine which of those will stand a century from now." Mahito said, throwing me against the wall next to big brother. He started punching us multiple times leaving us covered in blood. "If you haven't figured that much out by now, how did you think you'd beat me?" Mahito asked. I looked up at him before turning to look at big brother.

"Hey, Yuji Itadori, have you counted how many curses you've killed in your lifetime? What about you Y/n? I bet not. Don't worry, me neither. I couldn't care less about the number of humans I've killed and eventually I'll forget all about you two too." Mahito said. I saw him raise a weapon before I tried pushing big brother out of the way only for big brother to disappear making me hit the floor. Mahito was confused before I recognized the technique and the sound of a clap echoed through the station. "The bells of the Gedono Monastery in Indian echo with the warning that all things are impermanent. The blossoms of the solitry teach us through their hues. That what flourishes must fade. However, sorcerers like us are the exception." Todo said. I looked up seeing Todo and smiled. "Todo. You're here." I said. I sniffed as I almost started crying. "Now's not the time to cry little sister." Todo said.

"Todo, I'm all finished treating that girl over there. Although I think she may already be dead, so please don't go blaming me later if I'm right." A man said. 

"Enough blabbering, see to my brother too. Wake up, brother! Our battle's side by side are just beginning." Todo said. I rushed over to where Todo was before seeing big brother open his eyes. "Todo? Todo... I can't.... I can't... Fight anymore. It wasn't just Kugisaki, Nanami died too. Sukuna, killed so many, so I have to save how many more people. I couldn't stop him, I'm nothing more than a murderer. It's true, what I thought was my conviction was just an excuse I made to myself. I can't.... forgive myself anymore." Big brother said, starting to cry.

"Will you please speak up I can't hear you!" Mahito shouted. I saw him rushing towards us aiming at big brother before I stood up and rushed behind Todo. Todo clapped and Mahito swapped places with the guy that was with Todo. "Shut up!" I shouted, punching Mahito. Mahito barely moved before I screamed as my fist lit on fire. The flames turned to blue before Mahito was launched away from me. I looked at my fists seeing the blue flames that I had just summoned. "What?" I asked.

"Those are my flames. Use them to fight, I'll tell you more about them later." Saki said. I nodded before raising my arms ready to face Mahito again. Mahito lunged towards Todo before Todo used his technique and kicked Mahito into the ground. Mahito bounced off the ground flying towards the man that came with Todo before Todo used his technique and swapped their places. He managed to flip to his feet before stopping himself on the ground before looking at us with a creepy smile on his face. "Brother, you're a man amoungst men. Don't limit yourself to such narrow-mindedness. We are Jujutsu Sorcerers, me, you, Kugisaki, mister Nanami, Y/n and all of our allies. We are all Jujutsu Sorcerers, as long as we continue to live our friends who have passed away will not truly have been defeated. This is not a matter of sins and punishment, but the moment we decided to dedicate ourselves to becoming jujutsu sorcerers our lives were no longer bound to such karma as that. Atempting to find meaning in the deaths of the fallen can at times defile the ones we've lost. But even so, what is it that you've been entrusted with?" Todo asked. I walked over and stood next to Todo ready to fight Mahito again. "There's no need to find your answer to that now. However, until you're able to find it you cannot stop moving forward. That is the punishment imposed on us who live as jujutsu sorcerers." Todo said.
