Chapter 35

Y/n's POV

"Do you remember the ways to rid cursed spirits from our world? Regardless of which method is pursued, it means advancing humanity to the next level. The next stage of humanity will be freeing itself, breaking away from cursed energy." Yuki asked.

"You're wrong. They'll optimize cursed energy." Geto said. Yuki looked back at big brother and me wanting to hear our answers. "Actually, I don't understand it either way." Big brother answered. I thought about it for a moment, thinking about all I've learned with cursed energy. "What if it's kind of both? I was human and then became part cursed spirit by sharing my body as a vessel." I answered. 

"Either way, I thought you already gave up on your plan. Twelve years ago when Toji Zenin died." Geto said.

"I was talking about that to Geto. Oh well, I went back to my original idea. Besides, there's a big hole in your optimization plan. There are extremely few sorcerers and cursed spirits that emerge in other countries than Japan. So Tegen's barrier should be dispensable to your optimization plan. Using Tegen to optimize cursed energy would mean only the humans of this nation would become sorcerers. Japan would essentially have the world's monopoly of cursed energy. Other nations, specifically a certain superpower, wouldn't stand by and allow that. Flesh and blood humans would become an energy source. It's easy enough to imagine the suffering that would bring. That's a world which is far removed from the ideals I pursue." Yuki explained.

Geto let out a laugh looking at Yuki. "As if that matters. For one thing, our objectives are different. I don't desire a world without cursed spirits or any sort of idyllic peace. Non-sorcerers, sorcerers, cursed spirits those are all forms of cursed energy in human beings. And yet there must be more to human potential. I was attempting to give rise to other possibilities to mankind, but that didn't work. Everything that I created myself was limited by the bounds of my potential. The answer was always there. It was glimmering darkly, hidden within the chaos. You understand? What I actually should've created was chaos far beyond my abilities could control. And I've already finished extracting the technique." Geto said. Yuki gasped before turning back to big brother and me. "There was a cursed spirit called Mahito, right? He has a technique that can manipulate the soul." Yuki said.

"That guy absorbed him before you got here." I answered. 

"No way!" Yuki shouted. Geto knelt down, placing a hand on the ground before I heard him say the name of Mahito's technique. The ground started glowing before the sky did as I looked up, seeing a weird symbol in the air. "I think that might be Tegen's barrier. No wait, remote activation of a cursed technique?" Yuki said, looking at the sky. 

"Yuji Itadori, Y/n, you both have my thanks. A cursed spirit mastery of their technique stops once they're absorbed by cursed spirit manipulation. Mahito truly matured through his fight with you two. To be honest, I wanted to have Jogo as well. But that doesn't matter any more." Geto said.

"What have you done?" Yuki asked. 

"I remotely actviated Idle Transfiguration ahead of time on two types of non-sorcerers." Geto answered. It was silent for a moment as we just looked at Geto. "There were people whom I had absorb cursed objects like Yuji Itadori did and there were people who had techniques, but whose brains were structured like non-sorcerers like Junpei Yoshino. I've adjusted their brains to match those of sorcerers to the former I gave the strength to become vessels. To the latter I gave the ability to activate their techniques. And now, I have released the seal on those cursed objects. Some of them have been in a deep sleep since being exposed to my cursed energy when they were marked, but they'll soon awaken. When that happens I'll have them fight each other to deepen their understanding of cursed energy. I've carefully hand picked these people and cursed objects. Think of it as unleashing 1000 malevolent Yuji Itadori's on the world." Geto said.

"A thounsand? That's conservative. You're all so underestimating human rationality do you think people will start killing each other just because they were granted power?" Yuki asked.

"Everything has an order you see. I certainly didn't cut corners liek that when making my preparations, your questions are starting to become shallow." Geto answered. Yuki just looked at him a little stunned before turning to big brother and me again. "He's pissing me off so let's beat him up together." Yuki suggested. 

"Sure, but I still can't move yet." Big brother said. The ice that was holding big brother down vanished before I saw the kid in robes kneeling on the ground. The kid and Geto were chatting about using reversed cursed techniques to heal the kid's body, but it somehow had poison in it. Chozo stepped up next to big brother and explained that his blood was mixed in with his technique before adding the fact that it was poison as well. "Can we get back to our talk now? The cursed objects that I distributed are what's left of the sorcerers I've been secretly making pacts with over 1000 years. Of course I forged pacts with more than just sorcerers, but then my pacts with those were nullified when I obtained this body." Geto explained.

"No way." Yuki said. 

"Yes, this is the woirld of the future." Geto said, releasing a bunch of cursed spirits. The stench of cursed spirits rushed through the air making me want to vomit because of how many were just released. "Goodbye, Yuji Itadori." Geto said, holding the prison realm out. 

"Gojo! No!" Big brother shouted.

"I have high expectiations of you." Geto said. He vanished along with the cursed spirits that were there after he relased them. After that information about what happened in Shibuya was spreading around like wildfire. Most of the upper ranked people were gathering to talk about how to deal with what was going on. After a while of the high ups talking some news came down that big brother's execution was unsuspended along with mine since Gojo was now listed as an accomplice to what happened. After that big brother and I went off on our own ti fight as many cursed spirits as we could so we could track down Geto.
