The weekends finally hit! (Part 2)

RIN OKUMURA POV:

And now here's the boring part.

"And now, you can study." Yukio's arms were crossed.

I sighed, staring at the phone.

"If I can do lesson plans, you can study. And, No calling anyone."

I sighed, again. 

I picked up the book and started to read. And of course, I put it back down and pushed the chair back a little. This was boring. I looked towards the phone again, and then towards Yukio, who seemed to still be doing work. The phone rang and I picked the book back up.

"Rin, can you get that real quick?"

"Huh? Oh, sure."

I picked up the phone.

"Hello?"

It was Mephisto. WHY?!

"MEPHISTO?!"

Yukio's eyes darted towards the phone and he snatched it from me.

"Director! What's so important at this time?" Yukio says, with a breath from running over here.

I couldn't tell what Mephisto was saying, but Yukio nodded.

"Okay. I'll be right there. Thank you for telling me."

He hung up.

"I'll be back. Don't do anything while I'm gone and study!"

"HUH?! HEY! WHERE ARE YOU GOING!?"

"It doesn't matter! I'll be back!"

I stare at him as he rushes out the door.

"And don't you EVEN THINK ABOUT following me!"

I nodded sarcastically.

"I'M FUCKING SERIOUS!"

I just nodded.

Yukio slammed the door, and the phone went off again. I guess he didn't hear it since he didn't come back.

"Hello?"

"RINNNN! GET YOUR ASS OVER HERE NOWW!" 

It was Nora.

I jumped. 

"Something wrong?!" I say, with a worried tone.

"I don't know, but something's going on!" Nora yells.

"I'll be right there!"

"HEY! DUMBAS-"

I hung up on her and grabbed my coat.

I ran down the stairs, (Almost tripping twice and gaining balance with my sword).

I ran across the damn plaza near the cram school just to get to the girls dorm.

THEN.

"DUMBASS I NEVER TOLD YOU WHERE I WAS!" Nora yelled.

I turned around, now somewhat embarrassed.

"Heh, Sorry."

"At least I won't slap you like your brother."

I looked at her.

"Don't bring down my brother."

She just nodded.

"Anyway, what's going on?"

"I'm not sure exactly, but look up."

I look up, and my eyes widened.

"Why... is there a hole in the barrier...?" I ask nervously.

Nora shrugged, pointing to the other end of the academy. I squint, and see Yukio.

"Shit. If he sees me, i'm in trouble."

Nora nods. 

"Have you ever used your sword yet?"

I looked at Nora.

"Well, uh, no. Not exactly."

She just nods.

"Alright..."

She reveals her holster. 

"You have guns?!"

She nodded with a slight grin.

"Can't be a dragoon without guns, can I?"

I nodded. 

Nora looked around, and I knew since the barrier had a small hole in it, there were going to be demons coming though there. I sighed, only hoping Yukio doesn't spot me. But, also, why should I care? I take off the covering of my sword, and Nora pulls out her guns and bullets.

"I was always good at aiming, even when I was a kid."

"Sure, let me see."

Nora closes her eyes, and opens them as she shoots two demons; one behind her, and one in front of her.

I smack one demon with my sword, not opening it.

"WHY AREN'T YOU OPENING IT?!" Nora yells.

"Cause I don't need too!"

I smacked a few more, but then Nora shot them as well.

"RIN! WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING HERE?!" Yukio yells, shooting demons as he walks towards me.

"He looks mad..." Nora whispers, "and kinda creepy..."

His gaze was right in my eyes. Shit. 

"ANSWER ME!" He grabbed me by my collar.

"HEY! PUT ME DOWN!" 

I grab his arm and somewhat twist it. He puts me down.

"YUKIO!" Nora yelled.

Yukio's gaze was on me, and he shot a demon behind him.

"Oh, yeah. I forgot. Mephisto needs help." Yukio says.

"Is that why the hole in the sky is there?" Nora asked.

"The barrier."

Nora nodded.

"I'll deal with you later, Rin. Let's get fighting."

Nora nods and smiles, and I look worried.

"How am I going to fight?!" I whisper to Yukio.

He didn't answer me.

"TCH!"

I looked over to Nora, who seemed occupied. I grip my handle of the sword, and then-

"Alright! The hole will be patched up soon! Finish off the last of these demons, and we we'll be good." Someone said.

I looked over into their direction, and it was Shura. Shura Kirigakure.

"Yes Ma'am!" People yelled.

And that's how she put me under her arm and dragged me away from the field. 

"Didn't Yukio say to stay away from the field?"

I struggle a little, but then I stop.

"Yeah, but why do I need to listen to him?"

By the time I asked, we already arrived at the dorm.

"You really should listen to Yukio. He wants to protect you. Really."

"Tsk! I can protect myself!"

"But can you control your flame?"

I stay quiet, staring at her.

"Just what I thought. You better get ready for tomorrow. I think Yukio might actually kick your ass for once."

And Shura left the room, closing the door.
