" you're still settling in that new place?" Shoko discarded her files. There was no way you could tell her you stayed up all night overthinking
For some reason, it bothered you that Gojo could possibly have a child. Yet how would that timeline work? Surely you didn't leave long enough for him to have a kid
" was I gone for a long long time?" those words ease out your lips.
Shoko pauses, her face tensing up as her fingers graze pass the books. " you were" she remembers that day. The day you left. She was right, everyone had grown, heck even Tokyo had grown without you
Your mouth remains shut, the instinct to apologise tried spurting out your lips again. " have you talked to Yaga yet?" Shoko placed a hand on her hip
" Yaga...I haven't heard that in so long- and no I haven't, means I have to talk to those higher ups" you stand up, dusting your attire
" then. best you go now. I can't let you help me all the time, maybe pursue your hobby" Shoko felt slightly uncomfortable by your sudden presence
" oh, absolutely. You're right..." you firstly started off
" so. You thinking of being a teacher?" Shoko proposed an idea, seeing your constant appearance at the school. You shake your head after processing that sentence
" I only came here to visit you and see how you were going. Of course I had to help you with the errands...but it doesn't mean I want to work here. I want a normal job if you know what I mean" you tried your best to explain
" so you wanna help me to occupy yourself while you search for a job?" Shoko understood
" I see...I'm surprised you don't want to work here but I will always support you" Shoko tried placing a thumbs up
" working here brings a lot of memories. Whether it's good is debatable" your arms cover your shoulders
"..but thank you for understanding, if you want me to go, I'll go" you pointed to the door. " stay if you want" Shoko put the offer on the table. " then. I'll be back" you made up your mind
" okay then" Shoko nodded, watching you close her office door.
She took a deep breath while looking at the old newspaper that had everyone she use to know. She'd be lying if she said she wasn't use to you. You appeared at the lowest point of her life, you just didn't know it.
