" when I pursued the missions overseas, I tried to save people. Yet it was like my hands were destructive. Everywhere I went I couldn't save others" you felt defeated
You felt pity for yourself.
" everything was for nothing. I caused more trouble...like I always do" your tone was quiet, you only told her a small piece of what you witnessed, afraid of telling her the rest.
Shoko felt pity on you. She hadn't known that you were going through so much.
" did your missions occupy you that much..." Shoko worriedly rubbed her own neck. " believe me I tried to contact you guys..." you tried to defend yourself
" you didn't do enough." Shoko whispered, although her tone was quiet, you could still hear her. There was still a part of her that felt resentful, but you were still her friend
" I know...I can't change the past but I can focus on the present now, fixing all my mistakes" your lips tried to form a smile
" right." Shoko smiled, her hands patting her shoulder. " but anyway, thank you for telling me I—"
" [Y/N]!??" The door slammed to the floor. You and Shoko both whip your head into the direction of the noise
" Utahime?" You notice a dear friend of yours. She seemed different...where did she get that scar from? " [y/n]!?!" Utahime rushed to you
Before any words could be uttered out your mouth, Utahime cupped your face in case you were a figment of her imagination
" oh my god..you are real!?!" Utahime couldn't believe it. " yes I am" you felt like chuckling. Utahime tried to smile, embracing you into a tight squeeze.
" where have you been!?! You haven't called or texted or sent a letter" Utahime's embrace was short lived before she shoved you away
You stare into her eyes. She wasstill the same as before..
" I'm sorry. I had a lot going on" you tried your best to sound sincere. " you still could've sent something to let me know you're okay! I missed you so much!" Utahime looked as if she was going to cry before you
" I'm sorry..but I'm here now" you paused for a moment, " and I missed you so much" you reciprocate the same feelings
Utahime's tears hung in the corner of her eyes while she gives you another embraceful hug.
