Chapter 28: Delilah

(NEXT DAY)

Macbeth had been acting all strange the whole time and Mirabel noticed. They were asked to come dine with the guests.

"What's wrong Macbeth? Did something happened?" She asked after they were done cleaning up.

"Nothing," Macbeth replied and went towards the chair to sit. "Make me look good" she ordered.

Mirabel stood up and went towards her. "You're lying"

"And you are such a betrayal" Macbeth snapped.

"What?"

"Do you think I wouldn't see what you did last night. You went to talk to Alex behind my back when you obviously knew I liked him" Macbeth said.

"I only wanted to make friend with him" Mirabel said.

"I don't want you around him"

"Well excuse me.. you can't tell me what to do" Mirabel said getting a bit annoyed by how her sister was acting.

The door opened and Saverina stepped in. They both stop talking when they spot her.

"Any problem?" Saverina asked.

"Nothing, she was just over reacting" Mirabel said.

"And you are acting all cheap" Macbeth said.

"What did you just say" Mirabel stepped close.

"Hey!" Saverina ran to stand between them, holding their shoulder.

Macbeth jerked her arm away and glared at Saverina. "Don't touch me slave" she spoke and walked out of the room.

Saverina shifted her gaze to Mirabel. "Do you wanna talk about it?" She asked.

"No," Mirabel said walking out of the room too. Saverina stood up and sighed.

Getting to the dinning table, the twins greeted the king, Queen and the guests but didn't see Alex. Riya and Pheadra was also present.

"Where's Alex?" Macbeth asked.

"He said he has a stomach upset this morning. But you can meet him as soon as you finish your meal.."

"I'm sorry My Lord, I have a stomach upset to. Can we eat another time?" Macbeth quickly asked. Mirabel gave her a look knowing she was lying.

"Of course my dear. Take your time" Lord Jacob said. Macbeth bowed a little and left.

"Sit my dear," The king said and Mirabel did.

"As I was saying, Alex told me she met a girl last night and was pretty interested in her. It was quite fluttering but sadly he doesn't want to reveal who this girl was" Lord Jacob said.

"He does?" Mirabel blurt out and they all looked at her. "Sorry I didn't mean to interfere" she apologized.

"Yes he does" Lord Jacob replied and Mirabel squealed with happiness inwardly. Remembering Macbeth she turn sad again.

"Caesar" The king called the quiet guy who was sitting beside his father.

"Yes, your grace" Caesar answered politely.

"I and your father, discussed about which of my daughter you desire to be your bride" The king said.

Caesar, Riya and Phaedra swallowed at once. Riya gave the Queen a look. She badly wish she wasn't chosen.

Phaedra on the other hand scoffed. Is the king forgetting she was mated to Derek? She hopes Caesar doesn't make the wrong decision on choosing her. If he loves his dare life.
