Chapter 69: I did it

Catching her breath. Alice eyes dart around the white room. She frowned and raised her hand up to her face. She was Alive and safe? What about the others?

She sprang up from the bed. Her eyes settled in her mother sleeping with her head on the bed. Alice removed the pipes from her hands immediately. She tried to stand but staggered a bit.

Grabbing her mom's purse she stormed out of the ward. Sensing the rough movement, Mrs. Rowena woke up from her sleep. Her eyes flew wide open seeing Alice was no more on bed.

"Alice!" She gasped and stormed out too.

Alice made sure to avoid the doctors she met on her way. She got into the elevator and closed it Before a nurse could walk in.

Her breath was heavy as the thought of Ammon lingered in her head.

When the elevator opened, she rushed out the hospital ignoring some nurses calling after her.

Getting outside, she was overwhelmed with the place. She was used to Ammon she had almost forgotten her civilized world.

She waved her hand to a taxi which stopped before her.

"Take me to any bookstore" She said to the driver after entering the car.

"Alice?" Mrs. Rowena came out afterwards. "Why does she like running off?" She said in between her breath.

The huge book store was filled with few people. Alice walked in fast, darting around the place. She spot a middle aged woman who seems to be the owner and walked towards her.

"Hey" Alice greeted breathlessly. The woman took in her dress.

"Did you come from the psychiatrist hospital?" She raised a brow at Alice.

"Oh no! I just need a book. A history book" Alice said.

"There are many of them. Which one will you like to take"

Alice swallowed and then though for a while. What is she going to call it? If she save the kingdom then the story won't be erased.

"K..ingdom Ammon" Alice replied. Her heart pounded hard against her chest as the woman stared at her quietly. Is the story not written?

"That's my favorite History book. You could have read the history online instead of rushing your way here" The middle aged woman replied and Alice eyes widened.

"Kingdom of Ammon is real" Her eyes teared up.

"Yes dear. I have a book copy with me. I read the story all the time" The woman reached for the book in her drawer. She outstretch the book to Alice and she slowly receive it from her.

"It's an history that teaches me never give up" The woman smiled.

A tear escaped from Alice's eyes as she stared at the book having the word. 'HISTORY OF AMMON' boldly written on it. She slowly began to sob.

"Alice is my favorite. She is a true definition of a true warrior" The woman spoke.

Alice quickly opened the book in other to know what happened to the others. She could say her goodbye before leaving and it hurts her.

After Alice had died in the kingdom, her body was buried in a beautiful place filled with flowers. People went there to visit and appreciate her.

Saverina was the most hurt person among them and also the happiest. She knew Alice did the best thing she could think of.

The ministers of the kingdom seek to find the next king to the throne. After their deep research, it turned out to be Mirabel. The crown was on her head due to her strong mind. Though they waited for her to grow into a beautiful woman before crowning her.

This was the first time the kingdom would be ruled by a woman. She saw Alex again and their love bloomed as they married each other.

Galen became stronger than before. He soon became the chief of command. He fell in love with a beautiful woman and get married giving birth to a girl.

Derek the alpha and Pheadra his Luna ruled the pack. Phaedra was loved by many. Saverina became the queen of witches, though, she missed her friend so much. She also fell in love with a man who managed to steal her heart. She also had family.

"What a beautiful ending" Alice smiled brightly to herself. The woman smile at her expression.

"It might be a tragic ending for her and her husband but she saved the kingdom"

"I did it!" Alice exclaimed and the woman's face dropped.

"I did it!!" Alice screamed again pushing her hands up to the air. "I fucking did it!! Yes!! I did it!!"

Alice suddenly felt her body weak and she slump to the floor. Her body haven't recovered really well yet. 

"Alice!" Mrs. Rowena walked in and rushed towards her.

"I did it mom" Alice said.

Mrs. Rowena fell into a trance. It's been so long Alice called her mom.

The woman went to take the book from Alice. Judging from the way Alice had shouted. She gave her a strange look but Alice didn't mind.

"I'm glad I'm your favourite" Alice grin while the woman only blinked.

"Okay, let's go" Mrs. Rowena helped her up.

During the ride, Alice won't stop smiling. She can't believe she actually did it. It felt unreal.

"Should I call your friends over? They have been so worried about you" Mrs. Rowena said.

Right she almost forgot. Samantha and zero.

"I'm so sorry I didn't spend my time the way I should with you. I'm deeply sorry Alice and I'll definitely try to make things right with you" She said and Alice think for a while. She was not mad at her mother anymore... Instead she feel like a different person.

"That book with the woman. Help me get a copy of it" Alice said her mother nodded.

Sitting on her bed. Samantha and Zero rushed into the ward.

"Alice!!" Samantha lips parted wide as tears came out if her eyes. Alice's lips parted, she almost mistaken them as Saverina and Galen. They both rushed to hug with tears streaming down their face.

"Hey guys I missed you so much" Alice eyes tears up too as she hugged them back.

"I knew you were going to make it. I was praying for you day and night" Samantha said. "This is all my fault you had to stay into coma for months"

"That was fate" Alice said.

Zero cleaned his tears and blinked severally.

"You sound different" Zero muttered and smiled. "I heard people who comes back from coma behaves differently. You're an example.."

Samantha hit his shoulder when he said that.

"Argh! What was that for?" Zero snapped.

"You talk too much" Samantha rolled her eyes while Alice smiled.
