Smiling as I finished up Mia's room, a bed in the right corner with a chest in front of it for stuffed animals, a desk to the left of her bed in front of her window for her to draw at with a closet in front of the bed and it was the same design as Finn's but he had a tv in front of his bed and. Ava room was different as her bed was bigger with it being in the right corner with a bedside table with a bookshelf to the left of the bed with a desk against the left wall in front of her window and a tv in front of the bed and they all had greenish room but we'd change it if they wanted.
"Wanna go pick them up?" Luke spoke as his arms came around me, he wore a soft navy sweater tucked into black pants as it was starting to get cold as Christmas approached which was why I wore a maroon hoodie and black pants, nodding before turning and kissing him as he melted into it before pulling away as I grabbed my shoes and pulled them on as he'd already put his on.
"It's snowing so I recommend you grab another jacket"he spoke up as he pulled his thick black coat on with a scarf, shrugging as I pulled on my black rain jacket as I didn't mind the cold unlike the male as he grabbed a umbrella before walking out as it snowed lightly.
"You excited?" I grinned as he clearly was as he got into the car with the biggest smile I'd seen yet.
"We're gonna be a family!" He giggled as I started the car before pulling out.
"Now you have to remember Ava is gonna be like you and protective of her siblings... we have to be patient.."I sighed.
"I know..." he frowned, "after a few weeks we should bring up therapy once she's comfortable.."
"Sounds lovely.." I smiled, he relaxed back into the seat.
It was around a half an hour before we pulled into the car park as I rushed around and opened his door before he could as he grinned amused, interlocking our hands as he opened the umbrella to cover himself from the snow as I held it for him. Humming happily, closing the umbrella before heading inside as we were soon taken into a room as we sat on the couch as Ava soon walked in as she carried Mia and she almost glared at us with Finn following behind and he looked anxious. Ava truly reminded me of Luke when he was younger, the same cold eyes and defensive stance and it made my chest ache knowing she'd been through similar things but unlike Luke she didn't have people like Sam.
After filling out the final paperwork we headed back towards the car and Ava was dead silent as she buckled Mia into the car seat even though Luke tried to help, she only gave him a dirty look, "do you guys wanna get ice cream?" I asked and Mia's face lit up and I saw the slight interest in Finn's while Ava just stared out the window.
"Ya!" She giggled as I glanced at Luke who had a numb look while fidgeting with his hands and I reached over and took his hand as his smile returned and played with my hand instead.
Soon getting to the ice cream place as we got out as I quickly grabbed the back of Mia's jacket when she went to run out onto the road, "nice reflexes.." Ava mumbled as she picked her up.
"I coach football, myself and Luke played it in our younger years so I suppose that's why" I smiled as we walked into the store.
"That one!" Mia beamed when Ava set her down as she pointed at the bubble gum.
"Which one you want Ava?" Luke asked.
