Their joyful moment was interrupted by Shane's sharp eyes spotting Marcus searching for a seat. With a wave of his hand and a boisterous call, Shane beckoned Marcus to join them. Marcus, surprised but grateful for the invitation, quickly made his way over to their table.

"Hey Marcus, over here!" Shane called out, a wide grin on his face. "Join us, we were just sharing some hilarious ice cream moments."

Marcus, relieved to have found a friendly group, took a seat and joined in the laughter. "Thanks, Shane. I could use some laughter right now. What's so funny about ice cream?"

Ophelia chimed in, still giggling. "Oh, you wouldn't believe the stories we've been sharing. Ice cream mishaps, brain freeze challenges, you name it."

Marcus chuckled, feeling the weight of his earlier actions. "I could definitely use a good laugh. By the way, Shane, I wanted to apologize for my behavior during yesterday's match. I was out of line and I realized I hurt your feelings. I'm sorry."

Shane's laughter subsided, his expression turning thoughtful. He looked at Marcus, a mixture of understanding and forgiveness in his eyes. "Marcus, I appreciate your apology. Honestly, I didn't take it personally. We all have our moments, and I know you didn't mean any harm. Let's just enjoy this moment and put it behind us."

Marcus's face lit up with gratitude, a weight lifted off his shoulders. "Thank you, Shane. I'm glad you understand. You're a true friend."

The trio continued their conversation, shifting gears to the upcoming basketball event that had everyone buzzing with excitement. They discussed their favorite teams, shared predictions, and reminisced about past games.

Marcus suddenly interjected with excitement. "Hey, guys, have you heard about Dexter? He's this basketball player from our high school, and he's so proud of his skills!"

Shane exchanged curious glances, intrigued by Marcus's enthusiasm. "Really? Tell us more about this legendary Dexter," Shane urged, leaning in closer.

Before Marcus could respond, Ophelia's eyes widened, a look of surprise washing over her face. She hesitated for a moment, contemplating whether or not to share her recent encounter with Dexter. But mischievousness got the better of her, and she decided to keep it a secret for now.

"WHAT?! D-Dexter?!" Ophelia shock.

Marcus and Shane exchanged puzzled glances, their curiosity piqued. "WHAT HAPPENED?!"

Ophelia, unable to contain her laughter, changed the topic abruptly, diverting their attention. "Hey, have you guys ever tried doing those basketball trick shots? You know, the ones where you bounce the ball off multiple surfaces before making the shot? It's so much fun!"

Shane and Marcus, momentarily distracted by Ophelia's sudden change of subject, couldn't help but laugh along with her contagious laughter. "Oh, Ophelia, you always know how to lighten the mood," Shane chuckled, shaking his head.

Marcus, still intrigued by Ophelia's earlier mention of Dexter, tried to sneak in one more question. "Alright, Ophelia, we'll let it slide this time. But you better spill the beans later!"

Ophelia grinned mischievously, her eyes sparkling with amusement. "Deal, Marcus. But for now, let's focus on those epic trick shots. Who's up for a challenge?"

And just like that, the trio's conversation took a hilarious turn, as they attempted outrageous basketball trick shots, laughing and cheering each other on. The air was filled with the sound of bouncing balls, uncontrollable giggles, and the occasional triumphant shout.
