"This girl is a mum to twin baby boys." Ollie said looking at us girls biting my lip trying to hide my smile feeling pride swell in my chest thinking about my babies. "I'm sorry but who want's to be with a single mum especially to twin boys. Talk about baggage." he said expecting laughs while I felt my heart drop to my stomach as he said that
Blinking rapidly trying not to cry, I could feel the girls eyes on me as Savannah and Tia hold my hands "Man that's not cool." "Seriously!" "You're disgusting." everyone went off at him "I think it's Ryder." he said letting go of their hands Ollie walks up wanting a kiss but I slap him across the face so hard he falls into the water.
Hearing a few whistles as I stand over him "Don't you ever say that about a mother and her kids because she won't be afraid to beat your ass in front of everyone. And by the way they're the best thing that's ever happen to me and if you think for a second that you've got a chance with me you're sorely mistaken." Going full blown mumma bear on him before walking back into line
"Hey you okay?" I felt a hand on my shoulder pulling me out of my thoughts "Yeah, Nate I'm fine." I told him leaning on the edge of the pool "You're thinking about the challenge aren't you?" nodding my head "What he said was completely uncalled for and disrespectful." Nate said nodding my head in agreement
"He's right though no one want's to be with a single mum." I told him "What?" looking at me as if I'm crazy "Nate, I'm sure theres decent guys out there that would love to be with single mums but guys these days are looking for a root and scoot. Not to be in a relationship let alone one with kids." Bluntly putting it
"You could see it really deflated her confidence and it sucked seeing it happen. Ryder is such a great person, she's gone to war and has a massive company and is a full time mum. I mean no one that i've known could ever handle all of that but she's been unlucky in the love department and I hope she does find someone on here." Nate said sadly
"I'm not ashamed of my kids because they're the best thing that's ever happened to me but I gave up finding love a long time ago." giving him a sad smile "Come here." he said giving me a hug "You are the strongest person I've ever fucking met and don't let Ollie's words get you down because any guy would be lucky to have you and your two little boys okay." he said "Okay." nodding my head
"I'm thankful to have a friend like Nate in here but I still can't help but feel alone." smiling sadly
When we pull apart we hear Lucinda laugh along with Zac upstairs my eyes widen knowing how much Nate likes being with her. "I feel like he's trying really hard to steal her from me." Nate said I wince at that "I know he is but when you get the chance talk to her than him." hopping out of the pool
Not too long after I watch as Nate pulls Lucinda for a talk "Hey Ryder come here!" hearing Zac call my name walking over to him and Trent knowing this smug little shit has done something I notice Ben has no pants on I make sure my back is turned to him "Lucinda and I we got together upstairs." he whispers out wincing at that while Trent squeals like a little school girl
"Are you kidding? That's awesome."as Trent and him do the bro hug "When did this happen?" I ask taking a sip of my drink "Just before." Zac said shaking my head "I just want to squeeze you." Trent hugs him "You need to tell Nate." pinching the bridge of my nose
"There's going to be some fireworks tonight because I can feel the tension." Zac puts his hands on his head "Well no shit, you've gone behind his back and basically linked up with her and by the look of it Lucinda's told Nate what's happened because he's not a happy camper." I told him while Trent smiles
"You swore that's the first time I've heard you swear." Trent said "Well I try to control my mouth since I'm a mum I have a swear jar." shrugging my shoulders "How are you from before anyway?" Ben asked "Nate and I had a chat together got it off my chest he gave me words of encouragement which was nice." I told them
Ben puts his arm over my shoulder "Well I think you being a mum is a superhero and has powers plus you're a hot MILF!" Trent exclaimed making us laugh "I-I don't ever want to hear that come out of your mouth ever again!" slapping his arm "Ben, Zac back me up here please" Trent pleaded "He's right." Ben said getting a hum from Zac
"It makes full blown sense since you handle situations very differently." Trent smiled at me "Now let's go get dressed for the night Ms Supermum!" Ben said walking inside with Trent and I while Nate pulls Zac for a chat about Lucinda situation
After getting dressed for tonight I know shit might go down south real quick between Zac and Nate. "Hey what's going on?" I ask hearing Nate listening at the bedroom door "He's talking shit about me." listening against the door "You were making lies up about me." Zac said
"He lied to lucinda about me wanting to know Tia." my jaw drops shaking my head "He was tweaking." Zac said Nate opens the door walking in with me behind him sitting next to Ben "Nice outfit really going for the chill." Ben said "And your lack of outfit." making us laugh.
We watch this go back and forth between Zac and Nate like it's a tennis match "And I thought girls were bad." muttering to Ben "Amen." he said taking a sip of his drink bottle after the whole argument about how Zac was disrespecting Nate we finally make our way downstairs, I'm just wishing and hoping that someone here will come in shorty for me otherwise I'll pack my things and go.
"Alright everybody. Let's all raise our glasses to Love Island and to love and war." Zac said making me shake my head at him "Hey Ryder can we talk please?" Ollie asked nodding my head "Sure where do you wanna go?" I ask "Down at the fire pit." he said as I follow him downstairs before sitting down
"I just want to say that I'm truly sorry for what I said about being a single mum in the challenge it was uncalled for and I'm disgusted within myself for even saying that." nodding my head "And I've got no clue what you've been through or what any single parent has been through I know that my parents didn't raise me to be or say shit like that and I hope one day you can forgive me." He finishes making me smile
"Ollie I think what hurt me the most is that it was the truth. I gave up on trying to find love along time ago because I went on three dates and when I'd bring up I have two babies they'd make excuses to leave and I'd be left with the bill all the time. Laken and Santiago have been the light of my life and I've never once been ashamed of having them sure it's harder to find a partner but sometimes it's how life is.
I forgive you for saying what you said but don't ever say that again because I will go full mumma bear on you and I'm also sorry for slapping you." wincing at the hand print that still there but only just "No it's all good that slap knocked some sense into me and it was a good one too. it made me fall." making me laugh
"I appreciate Ollie for apologising for saying what he said and I really didn't know how powerful my slap was I thought he just slipped but turns out it was my slap. Sometimes you don't know your own strengths." looking at my hand
"I've thought about what I was going to say to Ryder all day since that challenge and I'm happy she's forgiven me and Ryder didn't need to apologies for the slap either it actually knocked some sense into me." Ollie said with a smile
