Every morning is the same for me wake up grab my reading glasses along with my bible and a photo of my kids to make breakfast before sitting down on the beanbags looking over the Spanish hills while the sun rises and today is no different. 

My bible was the only thing that kept me going while I was in the Middle East fighting to save lives instead of taking them, I've never touched a gun in my life in the army I was what you called the conscientious objector. 

The basic part of it is that I refused to touch a weapon that could take someone's life due to my religious beliefs. One of my favourite quotes was from a man himself who was a conscientious objector Desmond Doss "While everybody is taking lives I'm gonna be saving it." I've been a devoted Catholic all my life and Desmond made me believe I could make a difference and I did save everyone's life in my platoon and some of the others.

As I was finishing reading today's page someone sat down next to me, out of the corner of my eye looking at them for a split second and that person was Kale "Sorry if I interrupted you I wanted to get a closer look over the Spanish hills before a busy day of people talking to me." I nodded "No you didn't I just finished actually." putting my bookmark in along with the photo of my boys. 

"What were you reading?" he asked turning to him and giving the Are you serious look "The only thing that kept me going through the tough times." showing the cover "The bibble Catholic or Christian?" he asked "A devoted Catholic all my life has been raised going to church every Sunday morning sitting and listening to our priest preach to what we were learning that day." smiling at him 

"So what did you read today?" showing some interest in my bible "Today Philippians 4: 13 wrote 'I can endure all these things through the power of the one who gives me strength.' this is one of my favourite quotes I've got it tattooed on my wrist the name and number." I told him "I noticed a picture can I see it?" nodding my head taking the photo out 

"They're so cute most get their looks from the mum. So who's who?" he asked making me blush "The one with the lightning Mcqueen hat is Santiago and the one holding the penguin is Laken, my two beautiful boys." smiling at the thought of them as he passed the photo back. 

"What was it like being in a war zone if you don't mind?" Kale asked "Well it was terrifying for an eighteen-year-old going into a war with no gun to protect herself luckily I had the boys with me. Being over there shows how lucky we are Kale, I can't find the words to describe what I saw but every day was full of questions are we gonna make it home alive? Are we going to survive another day here? What about the food or water? Are we going to survive the next attack?" looking over the hills 

"You went into a warzone without a gun?" he asked in disbelief "Yeah I was a combat medic and a conscientious objector." nodding my head "Like in Hacksawridge?" Kale looked in shock "Yep exactly like Desmond Doss. That was a great movie I wish it got nominated for an Oscar I think Andrew Garfield would've won best actor no doubt."  getting a laugh from him 

"That's very true Mel Gibson would've won best director and the best motion picture but I think something happened between Mel Gibson and someone and that got him blackballed from Hollywood," Kale said in agreement 

"It was nice to get to know a bit more about Ryder getting a bit of a snippet into her life. I know the boys have told me especially Ried has told me not to hurt her because he'll hurt me and she has very low self-esteem and confidence but also due to the fact she is the actual mum in the Villa." Kale said smiling making the producers happy that he was interested in her

"When Kale started asking me questions about my bible and what was it like in a warzone I got all nervous and was like holy buckets like is he going to be like yeah no see ya later but he didn't walk away or shy away from me and that did make me happy," I said

As I listened to Ryder speak not only about her religion, and time in the warzone but also about her two sons Laken and Santiago it was like I could listen to Ryder speak all day. "And yeah he just packed up and left me alone but luckily I had my friends there with me to help along with his parents just because their son went and did a banana split doesn't mean his parents can see them." she shrugged her shoulder it must have hurt her

"Well, he was a complete and utter douchebag for doing it to someone like you." making her smile "Thanks Kale I appreciate it, there are times when it can be tough there's always this thought in the back of my mind when are the kids going to ask me when's daddy coming home? or why did he leave us?" Ryder wondered 

"Well, I can always be their new daddy." making her laugh "Kale like when I told Trent when he called me a Milf the other day I don't ever want to hear you say that again." this time she makes me laugh as I hold up my hands in defence "But in all seriousness if someone wants me they have to know that I and my beautiful babies along with our German Shepard Chaos come as a package deal." 

"I know Ry I understand that your kids plus your dog  Choas are above everyone else, always putting them first and being a mum is important to you." she smiles at me "How about tomorrow I wake up early with you make some breakfast and listen to you read the bible out loud to me or just sit in silence it can be our thing from now on," I told her holding out my hand 

"Yeah, I'd like that no one has ever offered to sit and listen besides going to church on Sundays with my sons who sleep through the whole thing." as she touches my hand I feel a peaceful and calming wave come over me and I like it her whole demure is so cool and chilled I've never really felt it before.

"When I saw Kale sit down next to Ryder this morning I was like yes Kale has interest in her give her the confidence and self-esteem she needs!" Ollie said "Ollie's right she deserves happiness and when I saw her pass a photo of her kids over my heart just melted. Ryder is a protected species we need to keep her safe even though she's a badass woman Ryder deserves to have happiness" Nate smiled

"My heart went crazy watching Kale talk to Ryder because I know how much she drags herself down and how she's got no confidence at all, she's a beautiful woman who has a heart of gold and it's rare to find these days I'd like to think. I was standing next to Sav who was also smiling seeing the interaction we saw the biggest meanest glare that was going from both Nikia and Kirra and I just winced like bad." Trent said smiling at the thought of one of his best friends getting a chance to meet a good guy 

AN: Hey guys I decided to scrap the whole I upload on Sundays because that's not working out for me so it's basically like my Ikenna Love Island book. The last few chapters will be out soon so it will be finished then I can focus on this book and the others I'm working on at the moment also I'm a religious person as well and I love this chapter so please don't write any hateful comments.
