The luxurious apartment seemed to shrink in size as tension coiled in the air, suffocating Adi with its weight. He paced back and forth across the polished marble floors, the rhythm of his footsteps echoing off the walls like a heartbeat in distress. Arjun watched him from the comfort of an opulent sofa, his expression etched with concern as he observed his friend's inner turmoil.

"Deii...Adi," Arjun's voice cut through the silence, gentle yet insistent, "you know what you have to do. Keeping this from Tara won't protect her. It'll only hurt her more in the end. Avalukku enaikume itha pathi theriya ve varathu nu nenaikuriya? Haan? Unmai ya romba naal pooti vaika mudiyathu atha nammaba sonna thetharam kammi illa athuva kathava odachitu vantha setharam thaam."

Adi paused in his pacing, his brow furrowed with uncertainty. "But how can I burden her with the truth? She's been through so much already... jus because whatever we had in the past. What if it breaks her? What is Agaran is hurt in this process? I will do anything but nothing that causes even a little harm to Agaran... I would rather die than doing it."

Arjun rose from his seat, crossing the room to stand beside Adi placing his hands on his shoulder in a manner of consoling him. "Tara is a strong woman and you know that" he said softly, laying a reassuring hand on Adi's shoulder. "She deserves to know the whole truth, no matter how difficult it may be."

As they spoke, a sudden beep pierced the air, drawing both men's attention to Adi's phone, which lay forgotten on the coffee table. Adi's heart skipped a beat as he reached for the device, his fingers trembling as he unlocked the screen to reveal a chilling message from an unknown sender.

"Tara oda annan thaan," Adi muttered, his voice barely above a whisper, as he read the ominous words displayed on the screen, his mind started to run the picture of events that happened in the past and that eventually made his hands tremble knowing the worst those people are capable of.

Arjun's eyes narrowed as he scanned the message, his jaw clenched with suppressed anger. "What do they want?" he asked, his voice cold and steely.

Adi shook his head, his mind racing with fear and uncertainty. "They're warning us to stay silent, else the consequences will be bad," he said, his voice trembling with barely contained rage. "They know we're onto something."

Before Arjun could respond, a soft whimper echoed through the room, drawing their attention to the source of the sound. Agaran stirred restlessly in his sleep, his small form tangled in the sheets as he tossed and turned with a troubled expression on his face on the mattresses in the living .

Adi's heart clenched with fear as he rushed to his son's side, his hands trembling as he gently shook him awake. "Agara, Thango, papa,......elinchiru... wake up," he urged, his voice thick with emotion. "It's okay.... its okay.... Let it go, I'm here, Appa is here,... see your Dada is here....."

Agaran's eyes fluttered open, his gaze clouded with sleep as he blinked up at his father in confusion. "Appa?" he mumbled, his voice thick with drowsiness as he reached out for Adi with trembling hands.

Adi's breath caught in his throat, his own heart pounding with a mixture of fear and relief.

"Agara, what's wrong papa, enna aachu en thangathuku?" Adi's voice was hoarse with emotion as he gathered his son into his arms, holding him close in a desperate attempt to soothe his fears.
