I'm really looking forward to finishing the draft process for my new story. The amount of planning involved is a lot! The story still needs an antagonist which is more involved than even writing the protagonist to me. The supporting characters are also still being written. I have heard that the supporting characters need to have their own goals to achieve, otherwise a story would become stale. The story will be a fantasy set in the future. It will have minimal technology due to war having destroyed the world's economy and resources. The planet is earth-like with a few fantasy elements, civilizations, creatures, and more. The main protagonist is unnamed currently. He is an orphan who was born into a kingdom of blacksmiths, they're currently engaged in a 100 year war. He has no clue of who or what his family looked like, the only clue given is a pair of moon shaped earrings.
