The protagonist is coming along nicely, without name, not without depiction. He is born an orphan into a family of blacksmiths, expected to master the trade. He's not well versed in the forgery of steel, often making simple tools and trinkets instead. This sets him apart from his family and the other villagers, who see his work as inferior. The young blacksmith apprentice spends his days longing for something more, a fire burning in his heart to explore the outside of his desolate kingdom. The kingdom of Taboran, currently engaged in a century-old battle, has known only bleakness from its inhabitants. The boy often thought about joining the war effort to escape this confining life, leave behind the gloom of his home forge, and make a name for himself.
That's pretty much all I can muster, hopefully tomorrow there can be some more revisions to his character. I'm extremely tired, so hopefully it's not too scattered about.
