Like a lollipop

Shaded by the home of hummingbirds

We captured our newly found bond;

Smiles in our eyes told; we were fond,

Of each other, like known lovebirds.

'A couple so cute,' So I've been told;

Whenever we hold hands, I do not wanna unhold.

A lollipop caressed your cherry-red lips

While you posed for pics & freely moved your hips –

My lips got jealous of your candy

While my eyes enjoyed their candy.

I asked to know what the lollipop tastes like,

Because it seemed to be what your lips like.

When my hand reached for the lollipop, you dismissed

But I still got to know what it tasted like when we kissed;

My mind went blank, I forgot everything but you –

I've kissed before but with you, it felt new;

Your lips tasted like strawberry; so yummy

Had me twinkly on my way home like a dummy

I reminisced my hands down your thin waist

As I continuously licked my lips to soak up your taste -

I didn't eat that night so as to preserve it

Call me crazy if you may, but you're to blame for it.

Going through your pics, your smile is all I see

I still wonder; was it meant for the camera or me?

Guess what I got today from the shops?

A packet full of strawberrylollipops...
