All I remember is thinking about you;
Or should the question rather be who?
Could it have been me? If so, what?
Or is it when? How can I know that?
Do you? Or could it have been you?
But how? – Are you going crazy too?
This is absurd; the dividing line is blurred;
It was just us two, right? Or was there a third?
Oh no, did you catch that? I said 'us'?
Could that be it? Could it have been us?
What of the miles we ran in one another's minds?
Did you fall behind? Were our tracks not aligned?
What of the day we met? Did we not form a duet?
Did the ball not rest in our favour in a roulette?
What of those times our eyes stared & lips paired?
I felt the world shake or was it you; scared?
What of us? Are we 'us'? Were we ever?
What of us? Were we never set to be forever?
What went wrong? Do we not belong?
Is it me? Is it you? Are we a ball in ping pong?
What went wrong? Are we a sad song?
Are we supposed to go wrong? –
Are we not favoured by the stars above?
Is that why we never felt passed 'like' to 'love'?
Is that it? Love? Is that why we are able to see...
The possibility of 'us' not meant to be...?
Will I stop thinking about you and you me?
Is that what's next for you & me? you... then me?
Is there a next for you and me or not?
Or is the end of us included in the plot?
We are coming to an end, aren't we?
We can't say 'us' anymore now, can we?
Well, I'm glad you got to be mine & I yours
It appears that you and I have run our course.
