It had been some months ever since the Hashira training had started.

All Kirumi had done during those months were night patrols and she had also completed different missions with the partner she was assigned now

Iguro Obanai. The Serpent Hashira

He was... short... But powerful

His breathing style was something Kirumi admired, it was cool and it looked fun

He didn't talk much, and he was shy-

No... It was something else... He didn't talk much and didn't really get any closer than two meters away from her

Well, except for when Mitsuri was close

This made kirumi have the urge to just go to the Hashiras and ask them if they noticed something in between him and Mitsuri, because from what she could see, it was too noticeable

"Kirumiiii! Are you okay? I was so worried when I heard that you were in the swordsmith village too" The Love Hashira cried as she held Kirumi in an embrace

"We have to go"

The both girls turned and looked ahead at the serpent Hashira

Kirumi couldn't help but sigh silently. He looked like he wanted to kill her

"Right! Sorry. Good luck on your mission, and Kirumi, take good care fo yourself!" She said as she patted Kirumi on the head with a big smile

Kirumi shook her head, as to not find any more  reasons to go and cry herself to sleep

The swordsmith village...

It was supposed to be calm... Maybe, even fun

But... It seemed that the swordsmith vilalge would always hold a bad memory for Kirumi... A terrible one

A couple of weeks passed by, and some slayers were starting to appear in her estate

And right now, Kirumi was standing in the middle of the backyard, as she was going to start with this training

"First. You'll be putting on white aprons, and your wooden swords will be having paint. Please, do so right now" She explained, and in seconds, the slayers went to put on the white aprons

"Now, you'll each form pairs and fight each other" She bluntly said, whilst a kakushi brought the wooden swords and two bucket with paint, one with red paint and the other one with blue paint

"Excuse me... What is this for?" A slayer questioned shyly and nervously

"Concentration... And balance... For someone to be able to use their abilities and not get distracted... You need to not only excel in one thing.... Your defense and offense need to have a decent level..." Kirumi explained before moving back

As they heard that they only had to spar with each other, they were both confused and relieved.

"It sounds easy"

"Yes, it does"

"Maybe this is the calm after the storm?"

"Yeah... Everyone is able to concentra-"

thud

Kirumi stood infront of the slayers that were whispering, and the one who she kicked to the ground "By the end of this training, you should be able to, at least, see that coming"
