i remember the time we met
you drew me in
the day ill never forget
things were really good at first,
they call it the honeymoon phase
afterwards it wears off and gets worse
you were my first boyfriend
the person i had most "firsts" with
and then it all came to an end
you walked away
for my best friend
then put it on display
it hurt,
it really did
all along you dragged me in the dirt
it took me awhile to realize
i was blinded by all the highs
will i ever win?
or let someone else in?
