Aoi hung yet another sheet onto the line of laundry she had outside. The fresh breeze blew through the sheets and her hair, and she used one hand to move her hair out of the way and used the other one to adjust the sheet before it blew away.

She didn't even hear [Name] sneak up on her until her hands were covering her eyes.

"Guess who, Aoi!"

"Hm..." Aoi put a finger to her chin in thought, narrowing her eyes playfully, "There's only a few people here who call me by my first name... so I'd say... [Name]?"

[Name] uncovered Aoi's eyes and giggled, going around in front to face her. Aoi sighed, a tiny smile painting her lips, "So... you two are heading out now?"

[Name] turned around and saw Tanjiro walking towards them. He gave the two a smile and slipped his hand into [Name's].

"Yeah, we are. We got a new mission yesterday." He explained, and Aoi nodded.

"Well," she started, looking at the ground for a few moments, "It was only for a short while, but I'm glad we got to spend that time together." She gave them the tiniest of smiles and turned back to the linen, "Good luck, you two."

"Hey..." [Name] said quietly, yet Aoi didn't make any indication that she was listening, "Thanks for looking out for us, Aoi-san."

"Especially since you were so busy with other patients," Tanjiro added, and Aoi stopped straightening the sheet, her hands still gripping it tightly.

"Because of you, Tanjiro can go back into battle and I can start slaying some demons." [Name] bowed in gratitude.

Aoi looked down, the light breeze blowing through her pigtails, "No need to thank me," she said distantly, "after all, I only survived the final selection by luck. And then, I was too afraid to go into battle. I'm a coward." She angrily yanked the sheet off of the line it was hanging on.

"So? That doesn't matter," [Name] walked forward and placed a reassuring hand on Aoi's shoulder, "Because of you, I've gotten better and better at Total Concentration, and you've given me pointers on how to improve my body through reflex training. You helped me get where I am today."

Aoi looked up at [Name] as Tanjiro spoke, "I'm carrying all of your emotions onto the battlefield with me," he placed a hand to his chest and closed his eyes, "So I'll never forget you and what you've done for me."

"I..." the blue-eyed woman choked on her words, tears threatening to fall, "Thank you..." She closed her eyes tight, and [Name] gave her a hug.

"No... thank you, Aoi." She squeezed the woman tighter before letting go.

"Alright, take care, okay?" [Name] called.
