Lloyd POV
I couldn't believe my ears when I heard the last name, Jade?
I asked again,
"What is your last name?"
"Jade, why is something wrong?"
"What? No, nothing is wrong, you were saying something about a criminal group?"
"Yes,"
"Ok meet me at coffee shop near Borg's tower in 20 minutes,"
"Ok I will see you in 20,"
"Bye,"
"Bye,"
My mind was racing. Jade?
As in Harumi Jade?
Is she related to Harumi?
Does she know Harumi?
Does Harumi know her?
I will just ask her, I told myself. She did call for me.
"Kai I am going out I will see you later," I shouted,
"Woah, woah, woah! Green Bean, where are you going?"
Should I tell him? I know Kai has been very careful ever since the Harumi incident.
"Oh someone just called I am gonna go meet 'em," I said. A bit too quickly.
"Who is it?"
"Someone called Meher,"
Can't risk telling the last name.
"Oh okay, can she be trusted?" he asked suspiciously.
"Yeah I think," I said slowly,
"Should I come too?" He asked
"No, I will be fine." I heaved a big sigh.
"You sure?"
"Yes Kai."
"I think I should come."
"No it fine,"
"No I really shoul-"
"See you later Kai" I said dashing through the hallway.
Kai POV
The second Lloyd told me about this Meher, I got suspicious.
I still haven't forgotten what happened with Harumi. He looked so hurt after she betrayed him. I was not gonna let that happen again. Lloyd is the most gullible person I know. Pythor, Harumi, Garmadon, even. . . me during the 'Tournament of elements'. How many times he has gotten tricked and betrayed is . . . alot. Nothing is gonna happen to Lloyd not on my watch. . .
Lloyd POV
I dunno why I chose the coffee shop. I just really like their double chocolate chip fudge cookies, I mean who doesn't? They are my favourite food after garlic noodles and samosas but I never liked their coffee though I actually don't like coffee in general. When Wu was running his tea shop he also had coffee. I tried it for the first (and last time) probably because there was no sugar in it. Like what was the point of coffee with sugar wasn't it invented with sugar. I'll ask Zane later. I wondered about Meher.
Does she like coffee?
Does she like the double chocolate chip fudge cookies?
Okay these are irrelevant questions.
I need to ask her more important questions like:
Who is your family?
How did you find out about this 'criminal group'?
What are they planning?
And of course
Do you like 'double chocolate chip fudge cookies'?
I got out of my car and headed inside the coffee shop and I saw her patiently waiting reading a book at the table. I head over to her and ask,
"Hi, are you Meher?"
