Chapter 51
Although his accident had been dangerous, Lisa recovered quickly. After only three days of observation, the doctor agreed to let him go home to recuperate.
Jennie arrived at the hospital early today to pick Lisa up. She packed up Lisa's things and ran around the hospital to go through the formalities for discharge. Lisa tried to help her several times, but he was shut down by Jennie every time. Finally, he obediently sat down on a chair and watched his wife busy herself. Gradually, he felt his heart warm at the sight.
So this was what it felt like to be taken care of and cherished.
"Lower your head a little." Jennie suddenly walked towards Lisa and told him.
Lisa obediently bowed his head.
Jennie pulled out a black cap she had bought yesterday and gently helped Lisa put it on. Afterward, she smiled and said, "Done."
Lisa felt the hat on his head, a little disappointed. "So it was a hat..." "What did you think it'd be?" Jennie looked at him with a wry smile. "Nothing." Lisa touched the hat once more. "It's warm."
"Let's go then." Jennie picked up the bag by her feet. She carried the bag
with one hand and wrapped an arm around Lisa, then walked out of the hospital together.
When they arrived at the parking lot, Jennie helped open the passenger door for Lisa first. Lisa was a little bewildered, seemingly unable to adapt to this sudden role reversal.
"Get in the car." Jennie urged.
"Oh." Lisa obediently entered the car with a stupid expression, feeling weirdly satisfied as he watched Jennie busy herself.
"Why are you looking at me like that?" Jennie sat on the driver's seat and was about to start the car, but then she noticed that the man next to her was staring. His eyes looked a little conflicted.
"If I had known that getting hospitalized would get me such good treatment, I would've gone to the hospital the day after our wedding."

"Hm. But instead, a certain someone went on a business trip." Jennie raised a brow.
"I was wrong." Lisa had once thought that he was being considerate, but he now understood that he acted like a total idiot.
Seeing him seriously confessing to his mistake, Jennie couldn't help but smile. She raised a finger and hooked it, signaling him to come closer. Once Lisa was near, Jennie kissed his lips without warning. Then, she looked up to look at his astonished eyes and said, "When I asked you to bow down, were you expecting a kiss?"
"I..." Lisa blinked, and his ears were turning red. He stammered, "I...just now, I didn't react on time. Can you..do that one more time?"
Jennie chuckled, wrapped her arms around his neck, and kissed him again. This time, Lisa reacted and kissed back. After kissing his wife for more than ten minutes, Jennie had to wait a while as her legs had become too soft to properly drive.
So when they finally arrived at the Kim family home, it was half an hour later than scheduled.
Before getting off the car, Jennie looked at her slightly swollen lips at the rearview mirror. She couldn't help but complain, "How am I going to explain this to my parents?"

Lisa could only let himself get scolded. This was the first time his wife was being so enthusiastic. How could he hold back.

The day of Lisa's discharge happened to coincide with New Year's eve. Jennie and Lisa had previously agreed to stay at the Kim family home during the New Year's holiday because on the one hand, they could spend the spring festival with their parents and on the other hand, there would be attendants who could take care of them while Lisa recuperated.

Because there was a huge New Year's eve dinner planned for tonight, lunch was relatively simpler. After lunch, Jennie initially wanted Lisa to take a nap, but Lisa told her that he had laid in bed for days at the hospital and wasn't feeling all that sleepy. So Jennie decided to take Lisa on a tour around the villa.

"That swing was specially made by my dad when I was a child. It's been

there for more than 20 years." Jennie took Lisa to the courtyard and pointed towards the swing she often played when she was young. "When the swing was built, I pestered my dad to push me every day. I wouldn't allow anyone else to do it. At the time, I often made my dad late for work. Most of his morning meetings would even be delayed for more than an hour because of me. My mom still teases me about it from time to time."

Lisa imagined a young four or five-year-old Jennie, wearing a princess skirt and smiling happily as she sat on the swing. Lisa felt his heart immediately melt.
"I'll push you later." Lisa told her.
"I'm too old to play swings. I have been for a long time." Jennie shook her head.
"Oh." Lisa lowered his head, looking somewhat bereft.
Jennie couldn't stand Lisa's listless appearance and after some thought, turned around and sat on the swing. Isn't it just a swing? If Lisa wanted to push her, then let her push.
"Well, It's good to play once in a while." Jennie commented.
As soon as she said this, Lisa's eyes brightened. He walked behind Jennie and gently pushed her. Looking at his swaying wife, Lisa felt content.
At first, Jennie had just been trying to humor Lisa. However, after swinging for a while, she gradually felt a childlike interest. Every time the swing met Lisa, Jennie would turn her head and smile sweetly at her husband.
"See how happy they are?" At the balcony on the second floor, Mother Kim chatted with Father Kim, a cup of coffee in her hands.
"That boy is lucky to meet our Jennie." Father Kim haughtily replied.
"Alright, you can stop pretending already. You think I don't know how much you secretly appreciate Lisa? Acting like a face isn't a face and a nose isn't a nose..." Mother Kim directly exposed her husband.
Father Kim wanted to be kind to Lisa, but when he saw his daughter's puffy mouth at lunch, he couldn't calm down. He knew that the couple was still young, but this was his daughter!
"It hasn't been easy for Lisa. You shouldn't be too strict with him in the future, alright?" Mother Kim told him.
"I know." Father Kim thought back to how Lisa had such a horrible father like Peter Manoban and huffed.
