Chapter 09

Minho had hoped that his episode would come to an end rather soon. He almost expected it to be like that, it had to after the amazing day he had. He couldn't have imagined a more perfect day.

The fact that he felt so good for the first time in a while made him feel even worse now. He couldn't believe that something that stupid ruined his entire mood.

Everything was amazing- Jisung was amazing.

Of course something had to ruin it. It seemed like he could never stay happy, something always pulled him back into this state. While his highs only lasted for a short amount of time, the empty feeling he had after seemed to linger around forever. Why couldn't it be the other way around?

It felt like he got trapped in a large ocean and whenever he tried to swim up and take a breath, he got pulled in even deeper than before.

Days passed by while he spent his time in bed, staring at the wall in front of him. He didn't have the energy to do much more. The mess he cleaned up a few days before, already reappeared and filled up his floors. It only demotivated him more than he already was.

It was currently a Saturday afternoon, although it didn't feel any different than the days before. His mother couldn't get more days off work so he was left alone again. It wouldn't make a difference anyway since he spent his days alone in his room. He felt as if he was stuck in a loop.

Minho didn't get to sleep well the other night, another thing that wasn't unusual for him. But the lack of sleep was finally catching on to him and he couldn't fight ut anymore. He felt himself slowly falling asleep. That was until he heard soft taps against his window.

He didn't think too much of it at first until he remembered his room was on the second floor so hearing anything like that was very unusual.

Hesitantly, he sat up on the bed and squinted his eyes when the bright light hit him. After taking a moment to adjust to the lighting, he noticed a familiar figure standing next to the house.

"Jisung?" He whispered to himself and tilted his head to the side. It took him a moment to figure out what he was here for- but then it hit him. It's Saturday. He was supposed to meet him today.

The younger opened the window and poked his head through it to get a better view of the boy. "Jisung, I'm so sorry. I completely forgot."

Jisung looked up at him with a wide smile and shook his head as he scoffed. "It's fine. I just wanted to see how you were doing. Are you okay?"

Minho wasn't so sure of what to tell him. A part of him wanted to him to know the truth, especially because of how gentle he was, but he was too scared. He didn't want to scare him off and ruin their friendship already.

"I'm-"

"I'm coming up there!" Jisung cut him off and held on to the rain pipe while carefully climbing upstairs.

Minho gasped but couldn't help but giggle at seeing him climbing up. "Jisung, what are you doing?!"

The other male scoffed and smiled again when he was standing face to face with Minho. "I wanted to get closer to you."

"You could've used the door." He shook his head and moved back to give Jisung more space to climb through his window. "Be careful, please."

Minho's eyes widened when he remembered the mess in his room and quickly picked up some clothes from the floor, even though it didn't make much of a difference. "I'm sorry about the mess." He mumbled.

Jisung observed the room for a moment, it was hard not to notice the mess but he didn't mind. He thought his room was sort of cute, besides being so messy. He noticed the picture frames on his desk with pictures of him and his mom, some posters on his wall and plushies on the bed. God, he's adorable.

The older male quickly stopped him and took the clothes that Minho was holding into his hands before carefully placing them down on the bed and holding his hands instead. "Hey, it's okay. I didn't exactly give you time to clean, right? Don't worry about it."

One look at Jisung's smile and he already forgot about his worries. It was almost scary how easily he could make him feel better. He felt hypnotized.

"How about- you go freshen up and put on some comfy clothes and then we'll both clean up together and hang out in here?" He tilted his head and gently caressed his hands. Jisung couldn't help but notice his messy hair and the red spot in his cheek from where he was laying down, as well as the dried up tear stains. All he wanted was to make him feel a little better.

Minho nodded his head slowly and sent him a soft smile back before he looked down at their hands. He felt a strange feeling in his stomach, something he never felt before. It felt great, though.

"I'll be quick." He whispered and slowly let go of his hands to get some clean clothes from his closet. He looked back at the older male with a smile again for one last time before he left the room.

It felt a little odd to leave Jisung in there all by himself. They were friends now but he was still mostly a stranger and no one has ever been in his room besides his mother. He figured it would be okay, though. Jisung seemed like a good person.

The younger male locked the bathroom door behind him and couldn't help but smile. He couldn't believe that Jisung actually wanted to see him and even made the effort to look for him when he didn't show up earlier. He already forgot about everything else that was going on in his life and the reason why he couldn't get out of bed for days. Everything was fine again.

Although he wanted to be quick, he also wanted to put more effort into his looks. He even made the effort to shave and style his hair after he got out. Once he was fully dressed, he sprayed some perfume all over his clothes and then finally left the bathroom. He definitely took longer than anticipated but Jisung was still there.

He watched him going through some of the books on his shelves but stopped staring once he turned to look at him instead. "You weren't lying about reading. You could start a library with the amount of books you have."

Minho smiled up at him and walked a little closer to where the other was standing as he quietly giggled at the comment. "Some of them are my mom's, she didn't have any room left so she put them in here."

"It's still impressive, though. You have a nice collection." The elder smiled and placed the book he was holding back into the previous spot and let out a soft smile when he turned back to the smaller male, in order to give him his full attention. "Let's get started? I was thinking of surprising you but I didn't want to go through your stuff." He scoffed.

The other male giggled quietly and shook his head as he began to pick pieces of clothing up from the floor. "It's okay, I have nothing to hide. It's mostly just clothes. I wouldn't let you do it all by yourself, though."

"It's fine, I wouldn't mind helping a pretty boy like you out." Jisung chuckled lightly and copied what the other was doing, picking up some of the clothes that were scattered around the room.
