Saying “I asked…”
Rule:
When a sentence ends with a verb, add ~(느)냐고 to indicate that the quote is a question.
For example:
(나는) 여자 친구에게 뭐 먹었느냐고 물어봤어.
“I asked my girlfriend what she ate.
”아빠는 나에게 어디 가겠느냐고 물어봤어
“My dad asked me where I will go.
”친구가 나에게 어디 가느냐고 물어봤어.
“My friend asked me where I was going.”
