The same night.

Kumaran sat hunched over his desk, the glow of the computer screen casting long shadows across his face. He scrolled through endless files related to his import-export company, "MN Exports," not a giant in the industry, but a well-established firm built on a foundation of honesty and ethical practices. Kumaran was a man of his word, his business dealings transparent, and his reputation impeccable. He wouldn't dream of acquiring anything through unfair means, let alone allowing such practices within his company.  A gentle tap on his shoulder startled him from his reverie. He looked up to meet the concerned gaze of his wife, Anjali. Her warm brown eyes held a hint of worry.

"Kumar, what happened?" she inquired softly, her voice laced with concern. "What are you thinking about so deeply?" Kumaran forced a smile. "Nothing, ma, just an office issue," he replied, Anjali, deeply connected to her husband, wasn't easily fooled. She knew him better than anyone, his every sigh and furrowed brow a window to his soul. "Whatever the issue is," she continued, her voice gentle yet firm, "you never bring them home. But why are you sitting here like this, burdened? Is it something very serious?" Kumaran hesitated, torn between shielding her from worry and confiding in her, the woman who was his rock. He sighed, the weight of the situation pressing down on him. "Yeah," he admitted finally, his voice heavy, "it's a bit more serious than usual."

He braced himself and began to explain. "One of our senior employees, Client deceived several clients. He promised them products, collected their money, but never delivered." Anjali's eyes widened in shock. "Deceived? But how? And how much money are we talking about?" Kumaran winced. "A significant amount, Anjali. Enough to cause serious financial strain, not just for the clients, but for the company as well. he was a smooth talker, and well-respected by everyone. He managed to manipulate the system, creating false invoices and pocketing the funds."

"What are you planning to do, Kumar?" Anjali asked, her voice laced with concern but unwavering in support. Kumaran took a deep breath, his shoulders slumping slightly. "We've approached the affected clients," he began, his voice heavy with responsibility. "Thankfully, they understand the situation and have given us some time to rectify it." Anjali nodded, a flicker of relief crossing her features. "That's good news, at least," she acknowledged. "But how are you going to cover the lost funds? It's not a small amount, Kumar."

He hesitated, his jaw clenched tight. "We've explored all options," he admitted finally. "The only viable solution we found was to approach a private lender. The interest rates are high, but it's the only way we can secure the immediate funds needed to reimburse the clients." Anjali nodded, a flicker of relief crossing her features. "That's good news, at least," she acknowledged. "But how are you going to cover the lost funds? It's not a small amount, Kumar."
