Look at the garden
How it smiles when we arrive to admire its home
How the flowers bloom when we so even graze them
How the smell of fresh peonies surrounds us
I went to the garden today
I got stung by a bee and fell into a puddle but that was just the beginning
I walked on the path of cobblestone
And I counted each one
For no reason
I sat by the pond and there were many kinds of lotus
Big, small, weirdly shaped, and just perfect
Look at the garden
It has friends as well
Nature-loving, generally peaceful souls
There are squirrels that climb the trees
And raccoons that steal the fruits
Don't forget the hedgehogs that scurry through the fields
I went to the garden today
I had to pick the caterpillars that were feasting on the leaves
And chase after the mice that hid
God knows where
Look at the garden
And it's ethereal plants
There are herbs and shrubs
Lavender, Allium
The hibiscus and daffodils
I went to the garden today
I picked out some roses
Hybrid tea and Grandiflora
Groundcover and maybe bee-friendly
They would be for my mother
Or my sisters
I'd give them to my father as well
Not my brother
Look at the garden
Can't you see the flaws?
It holds burden as well as all of us
It burns and it cries
It rots sometimes
The garden can be tired as well
I didn't go to the garden today
I locked my room on a stormy night
All of my books abandoned to be read on a different day
My phone had not been charged
Laying on the table with low percentage
The lights were on that's for sure
My mirror accompanied me and I looked at it
I took in every detail of myself and wondered
Why didn't I go to the garden today?

PoesiaA bunch of poems I wrote on various occasions. I'm a beginner so it's not that good and some are not about me. Sometimes I think about others who have gone through way worse than me whenever I'm on my bed breaking down. I'm not someone whose parents...
