The Cold Wind

I'm sleep-deprived

Thinking about you by the cold wind

The curtains fly to show me the time

Though the view in my eyes are dim

I looked outside

and there were roads for me to take

But I stood on the sidewalk

As I watched a shooting star fly through the sky

hoping you made a wish out of it

There are particles falling

They were a sign of hope

Because I've watched your eyes shine the same they cope

I heard a voice behind my head

It told me to make a wish and so I did

"What do you so ever wish for?"

The little star asked

I took a deep breath and my shoulders relaxed

"Tell him, star. Tell him of how I feel because if I can't do it myself then you sure will."

And so the star jumped happily

As I waited for my remedy

Then we talk

and talk again

My time waiting for you finally happened

But I'm still by the window

With the cold wind admiring you

Because one warm day

You might find anew
