Love, you mystify and bemuse
Joy and pain you both infuse
Pleasure and panic you produce
My heart you gently bruise
With you I soar, with you I cry
You lift me up, you petrify
A heaven and hell within me lie
When we collide, the sparks fly
You challenge me to open and grow
Outside comfort zones I must go
Lessons I learn when with you I'm thrown
Though it's uneasy, with you I'm home
For our bond makes me best self awoken
Though shaken, with you I'm never broken
This wondrous irony, this gift unspoken
Our contradictions, a promise token
You show me the light and shadow within
In your eyes, truth burns bright like sunlight
Together we heal, together we mend
Where you go, I will go - your hand in mine
