THIRD PERSON POINT OF VIEW

Zuikaku and Shokaku attack the Azur Lane fleet, and Azur Lane fires against the fifth division in order to intercept the Sakura Empire fleet.

In that moment, Zuikaku shoots several scrolls towards the water, creating a curtain of water that obstructs Wales' vision. Using her intuition, Wales shoots towards a certain spot. Zuikaku is almost hit by the projectile fired by Wales.

Shokaku deploys more planes, just like Zuikaku. The kansen focused on anti-air defenses shoot at the planes. Some enemy planes were shot down, but others fired at the cruisers, managing to damage Sandy.

Zuikaku looks around when she sees a passage between icebergs that they could use as an escape route. She signals to Shokaku and she nods in response to Zuikaku's signal.

Shokaku fires several scrolls into the sea to create a water column and they escape through the passage made of icebergs. They navigate at high speeds through this narrow place without fear of crashing into the ice at over 35 knots. Suddenly, they come across Akagi, which surprises them greatly and they stop. At first, they feel happy and relieved to find Akagi apparently uninjured, but that feeling is replaced with fear when several Siren bombers appear behind her.

Zuikaku: What the hell!?

Both girls began evasive maneuvers when the bombs fell on them. Many explosions and splashes of sea water hit the fifth division. By sheer luck, they had emerged unscathed from the first wave. Then, the second wave manages to catch Zuikaku off guard. Unable to dodge Akagi's attack, she feels terror at the prospect of death at the hands of the person she respects greatly. Reacting in time, Shokaku throws herself to shield her sister and takes all the bombs to protect her sister.

BBBOOOOOOMMM!

The Azur Lane girls who arrived here were all petrified with terror by what they saw. Before their eyes, all they could see was an act of betrayal by Akagi towards the empire and humanity.

Zuikaku, being unharmed from the attack, quickly goes to assist her sister, Shokaku, who is unconscious with severe injuries that could be fatal if not treated in time. Sensing the crisis, Columbia emerges in front of the fifth division to protect them. She had stayed out of action despite being nearby because she had not received orders from Commander Wales.

Columbia: X-51! Fired!

A hypersonic missile X-51 is fired from the VLS cell and headed towards Akagi, who was standing on top of an iceberg. Akagi responded by sending a squadron of Siren bombers armed with ASM missiles and fired.

Columbia was surprised to see missiles in this world, she did not expect this, so she deploys missile countermeasures and the missiles are diverted. The X-51 missile explodes very close to Akagi due to Columbia's nervousness and the laser pointer deviates from the target, hitting the iceberg where Akagi was standing. From the thick smoke emerges a crimson fire dragon that heads towards Columbia, Columbia is once again using the missile countermeasure, but since this attack is unguided, it is impossible to deflect it. If she avoids the hit, the fifth division will be hit by this attack.

Without knowing what to do to prevent damage and protect the fifth division from harm, she decides to take the hit and then use an emergency repair kit. Just then, without anyone noticing, an explosion blows up one of the walls of the iceberg, and Ayanami appears on the scene, making a dramatic entrance like a Shonen protagonist.

Zuikaku: (Shock) Ayanami?

Ayanami is approaching at full speed.

Ayanami: I don't know what I should do anymore... But... This is wrong and I don't like it!

Ayanami cuts the fire dragon with her sword and the fire dragon explodes, injuring Ayanami. Ayanami starts falling towards the sea, where out of nowhere a dimensional rift opens. Javelin and Laffey, upon seeing this, become scared and try to help Ayanami, but because she belongs to an enemy faction, they hesitate to assist her.

Belfast: Go! Rescue her!

Both girls run at full speed on the ice to rescue her. Laffey takes a leap of faith and Javelin uses her anchor to anchor herself in the ice. Laffey reaches out her hand and manages to grab Ayanami's hand. Javelin also manages to grab Laffey, and the anchor chain tightens, preventing them from falling into the dimensional rift.

Javelin: We made it on time, but... you weigh a lot.

Ayanami: Thank you for saving me.

Then Ayanami faints from the wounds she had suffered.

Wow, incredible, they did it.

When Columbia realizes, she sees that the Fifth Division and Akagi are no longer in sight, but she sees that there is a scroll of Zuikaku in her rigging where something is written.

Thank you for helping us and take care of Ayanami... From: Zuikaku

After reading this note, the parchment catches fire, self-destructing the note. Columbia wondered what had happened and why Akagi was doing all this.
