At Shreya's place..

As Shreya approached her gate, she was surprised to see Harshit waiting there, a sheepish smile on his face.

"Harshit, what are you doing here?" Shreya asked, a mixture of confusion and delight in her voice.

Harshit scratched the back of his neck nervously. "I, uh, just wanted to see you," he admitted, his cheeks flushing slightly.

Shreya's heart skipped a beat at his words, a warm sensation spreading through her chest. "Well, you could have just called," she teased, trying to hide her growing excitement.

"I know, I know," Harshit replied, his smile widening. "But I wanted to do something special."

Shreya's curiosity piqued. "Oh? And what did you have in mind?"

Harshit gestured toward the nearby park. "I thought we could take a walk together, just the two of us."

Shreya's eyes lit up with excitement. "That sounds lovely," she exclaimed, unable to contain her happiness.

As they walked side by side, Shreya couldn't help but steal glances at Harshit, her heart fluttering with each step. Despite the simplicity of their outing, she felt a deep connection blossoming between them, one that filled her with a sense of contentment she hadn't felt in a long time.

After some time...

As they walked towards Shreya's house, her heart raced with anticipation. She knew she had to tell her mother about Harshit's visit, and she couldn't help but feel a bit nervous about it.

"Shreya, are you sure it's okay for me to come inside?" Harshit asked, his voice tinged with uncertainty.

Shreya smiled reassuringly. "Of course, Harshit. My mom knows about you, and she'll be thrilled to meet you."

As they approached the front door, Shreya took a deep breath to steady her nerves. She pushed open the door and stepped inside, Harshit following closely behind.

"Mom, I'm home!" Shreya called out, her voice echoing through the house.

Her mother emerged from the living room, a warm smile lighting up her face when she saw Harshit. "Well, hello there," she said cheerfully. "You must be Harshit. Shreya has told me all about you."

Harshit stepped forward, extending his hand with a friendly smile. "Yes, that's me. It's a pleasure to finally meet you, Mrs. Agarwal."

Shreya's mother shook his hand warmly. "Please, call me Aunty. And it's lovely to meet you too, Harshit. Shreya has spoken highly of you."

Shreya couldn't help but feel a sense of relief as she watched her mother and Harshit exchange pleasantries.

After the initial introductions, Shreya's mother invited Harshit to join them for tea in the living room. They settled down on the cozy couch, and Shreya's mother poured steaming cups of tea for everyone.

"So, Harshit, tell me about yourself," Shreya's mother prompted, sipping her tea.

Harshit shared stories about his family, his interests, and his aspirations, while Shreya sat beside him, admiring his confidence and charm.

As they chatted, Shreya's mother couldn't help but notice the fond glances exchanged between Shreya and Harshit. She smiled to herself, happy to see her daughter so at ease and content in Harshit's presence.

After a delightful afternoon of conversation, it was time for Harshit to bid farewell. Shreya walked him to the door, a shy smile playing on her lips.

"Thank you for coming, Harshit. I'm glad you got to meet my mom," Shreya said, her voice soft with sincerity.

Harshit grinned, his eyes sparkling with warmth. "It was my pleasure, Shreya. Your mom is lovely, just like you."

With a gentle squeeze of her hand, Harshit said goodbye and headed down the path, leaving Shreya standing at the door, a flutter of excitement in her heart.

As she watched him disappear around the corner, Shreya couldn't help but feel grateful for the unexpected visit and the special moments they had shared.
