๑the next morning๑

I open my eyes to see Neils face about 2 inches away from mine. It scared me a bit at first but... After a second i- Wait where am i

I lift my head up and look around, sunlight beaming into my eyes through a slit in the window blinds. I look over to my bag on the little table besides the couch, my phone was glowing inside of it.

Me and Neil were sleeping on the couch. Together. I looked down at him. He mumbled something about Wikipedia and giving me 10 and I couldn't make out the last word.

His arms were wrapped around me tightly, I was laying between him and the back of the couch

As much as I didn't want to move or wake him up or wake up myself, I had work today. And I put my phone on do not disturb. My alarm was probably going off right about now which means I need to get home and get ready for work.

I ever so gently got up, trying not to wake Neil up.

I tiptoed to my bag and grabbed my phone
"Oh shit." I said louder than I realized
"Mmh.. " Neil sat up and rubbed his eyes before putting his glasses on.

It was 11:03
I was supposed to be at work an hour ago.

My alarm has been going off for 2 HOURS.

I was pacing around

"Y/n?" He said watching me
"Neil this is bad I'm late." I said flipping around my phone to show him the time

He got up "Oh that's not good. We should be at work right now." He said checking his own phone

"I'm sorry I must have fallen asleep-"

"I didn't mind.." I heard him whisper probably to himself, I was too stressed to acknowledge it

"-now we're both late and I don't have time to go home and change but I can't go to work in this dress so I have to go home but I didn't drive here so i dont know how ill get back without making both of us even more late so-" i paused. Neil was just watching me walk in squares and talk really fast

He put a hand on my shoulder

"Hey it's okay, nobody comes in the first 3 minutes of opening. Avi and Ella are training the new kid so they'll manage. Plus we only have to be there for the first two hours. You can wear some of my clothes to work. It'll be okay. I promise." He said before walking into his room behind me and coming out with some clothes to change into

He handed me a long sleeved shirt and some jeans

"I'm gonna change in the bathroom, you can change in my room. I'm sure the shirt will fit but if you need a belt or something for the jeans just let me know." He turned a corner and I heard a door click.

I stood there for a minute before walking into his room and shutting the door.

I put on his clothes and took a deep breath in to calm myself down. I smelled like Neil now. I folded up my dress and put it on his bed

The shirts arms were a bit too long so I rolled them up. That works perfectly. I did need a belt though, I combed through my hair with my hands until Neil came out, he looked a bit shocked like he forgot he gave me his clothes and I was just.. wearing his clothes

He didn't say anything and just stepped towards me

He rolled down the sleeves just enough to cover my arms but not my hands

"It's gonna be cold out today."

I smiled. Forgetting I was ever worried...

"Oh!" I said before we walked out of the door. I remember something because my pants alm- well his pants but anyway they almost fell down
