Its Tuesday.

I go into work at 3 and Neil comes in at 4. Me and Neil both get off at closing, 6.
I just have to wait an hour.

And so I did

And it was excruciating.

"Hey y/n?" I heard Neil say in the back, thank God.

I walked into the back and hugged him tightly, wrapping my arms around his neck.

He put his head on my shoulder and used his free hand to wrap around my back. His other hand had something in it.

I pulled away
"I missed you.."
"Y/n I saw you a day or two ago. But I won't stop you if you want another hug." He said laughing quietly.

"Oh right." He handed me the dress I left at his house.
"I washed it by the way.. just.. I don't know.. I hope that's okay."
"Oh yeah of course, thank you" I smiled at him.

Ella came into the back with us

"Hey Neil. I didn't know you were coming in today."

"Really?"

"No.. I came back here to tell you something but I forgot." She turned around to leave but Avi was right behind her

"Hey Neil, Ryan and Kevin are here to see you."
Avi said raising an eyebrow at Ella who almost bumped into her

"Oh right. That." Ella said

Avi looked at me holding my dress and smiled at Neil.

Oh come on. Don't say anything please.

"Glad to see you've got your clothes back. Try not to be in such a rush next time y/n." Avi said batting her eyelashes at me

The way my smile faded

"Okay yeah yeah. That's not what happened Avi"

"Oh don't be mean to her y/n. She's just looking out for you, we know he's your first boyfriend, we'll back off." Ella tried not to laugh.

I knew my face was pink

I took a deep breath in and out.

"They're just um.. they're just trying to be funny... Don't pay any attention to it.." I said fixing my hair to cover my face

"It's okay y/n. I get it believe m-"
"Neil!!" I heard Kevin yell.

"Oh right." He walked out there to greet them, me following behind him

"You guys can't just keep showing up to my work to talk to me." He said pushing some hair out of his face

"We're not just here to talk to you, we're buying customers, we'll get the usual." Ryan said

"Right.." he said exhaling.

Kevin looked at me and looked at what I was holding

Then he looked at Neil and smiled

Neil looked up at him

"Don't" he whispered to Kevin

"So ahh... Y/n?? Looks like you got your um.." he nodded towards the dress that was resting over my arm.

"Um yeah.. I left it at Neils house accidentally."

"We know." Kevin said putting a hand on Ryan's shoulder
